"Wonderful homestay in nature close to Darjeeling"

We stayed for 3 nights at Hermit Retreat homestay and had a wonderful time! Padma and Tse Wang were such amazing hosts helping us out with activities, where to get the best momos in town, taxi arrangements and much more. The location was a bit away from Darjeeling but therefore felt like surrounded by nature and the walk to town was refreshing. The rooms were spacious and offered stunning views of the mountains. Overall highly recommended place to stay!

Dogs were barking at night (what can happen in a village).

"Mountains, clean air, lovely host!"

The property has a beautiful view over the Himalayas mountains. You can enjoy the most amazing sunrise from your balcony. The owners are great and lovely host , they make me feel as part of the family! This is a great place to stay if you like trekking because the host has more than 30 yrs of experience leading trekking trips around the area. This is also a great place to enjoy the singing of the insects and the roosters in the morning.

I loved everything. The property is a paradise for the surrounding green and clean air , however if you can’t walk stairs, you could be uncomfortable.

Great Location. Surrounded by nature. The family that runs the house are very kind and they help you with everything you need, Every place to visit is very close but you have the extra to be on a very relaxing environment. I would recommend the experience 100%.

Great place and great people. Excellent host and property. You have take some 100 steps to reach property but you get assistance for your luggage. Really satisfied with the property.

May be the stairs to the property but assistance was welcome for the luggage
