Room at Lebuh Armenian Georgetown City Center

I regret a lot booking this place. After I booked and realised I was paying to be bossy by someone who's the only contact of this place, I actually tried to see if I can cancel the booking. But this place is not refundable and this lead to our long suffering for a long day before we finally can know what to do with the room and got into the room. First, Jeff doesn't allow checking in one minute before 3pm. He said it's within his rights to charge for any early check-in from the deposit they took via bookingm.com and they decide how much to take, you can't. you can't put your luggage in this place before the check in time or after the check out time even if it's not in the room, it's all considered as Late checkouts and early check-ins and a fee is happening, and they don't tell you how much, will charge you directly if you use the service. Second, he shared the room information via message of booking app and I only got to see it 35 minutes before the official check in time and he told me because he allowed me to check in before the official check-in time, he will charge a early check-in fee (and he didn't even tell me how much and doesn't seem to allow me to disagree to pay for it) I argued that I won't allow him to charge me for a 30 minutes early check in since we've been waiting under the sun from 9am till 2:30pm. He then said I will have to stay outside of the gate until 3pm. We waited in the park nearby for another half an hour for this. Third, since I booked the room, Jeff never replied to my messages until I made a request to booking app to help coordinate the communication, becaue until the check-in date in the morning I still don't know how to check-in, and when I will get the check in information, or if it's possible to leave the luggage at the place before the check in time. I feel that I paid to get tortured in this place.

The bed was very comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom were clean. Washing machines can be used, and equipment for drying clothes is also available. But you have to provide your own laundry soap.

A bit noisy, because the bedroom is not soundproof.

The place is clean and there is security camera everywhere, so feel safe.

Called Jeff but he refused to speak, he uses text to communicate. It's my first time using Airbnb. Instructions not clear how to open the key box. He send the video later instead of before hand as we were struggling to manipulate it. He showed us pictures with arrows as to where the place is but it was confusing for us as the black gates were closed and there was a small opening to go in. He should specified clearly that we had to go thru the black gate. He said the arrow cannot be wrong. It would be nice if he is kind to pick the phone up and guide us as there. Not everyone is phone and net savvy. Trying to blend in with advance world of technology. Please think of others having and struggling to use technologies.

The location - it’ near to Armenian Street!

The self-check in part. It’s quite inconvenient. The property sent the instructions about the deposit few minutes before the check-in time. Not very responsive to inquiries. I hope there is at least 1 staff to accommodate those who would check in at the hostel.
