Terrible experience. Booked three nights. Emergency happened could not go the first night. Called hotel and informed and said would come the following day and stay the two nights. Called the next morning and confirmed was coming but could not confirm time . They did not give a cut off time either. However, confirmed we were coming for the two nights. Arrived out side the hotel around 8 pm. It was right on top of the hill and had many steps to climb. No direct access from the road to the entrance of the hotel. It is very important that this hotel states so in the description. as it it impossible to get their with luggage. Called the hotel to ask how we can get the luggage up when to our dismay was tole the booking is cancelled. Said they waited until 3 pm and cancelled the booking. I did not receive a call to say they were doing so. It was very disappointing the way they handled it. We were placed in a very difficult situation to find alternative accommodation at that time f the night. Please look into this complaint as this type of action should not be accepted placing guest in a very serious difficult and dangerous position.
ITThe stay was so good the we decided to prolong it. Nothing else to stay! Great view, amazing breakfast , super Host! If you want to have a real Sri Lanka experience, this is the right place! Have a dinner there and you will have the chance to learn how to prepare Sri Lanka food for the most sweet lady!
Steep steps before arriving to the room..but the view is 100% worthy!
ITStunning view, amazing hosts and great breakfast! 5 mins by Tuk tuk from the Main Street in Ella where all the restaurants and shops are located. A great point to start all your experiences while in Ella. The host and the entire family are a gem and I highly recommend a dinner there! You can ask to cook with the mum and learn the real Sri Lanka cuisine! Room clean , hot water and comfortable bed. Do not expect anything luxury but a REAL experience!
To reach the house and the room there are around 40 steep steps..better if you are in good shape!

DEThe room felt quite luxurious to me for the price. Most comfortable and big bed, shiny clean, big bathroom with actually Working warm water, terrace with an amazing View. You get your breakfast on the terrace and they also offer any Service to be confortable for decent prices: Laundry, tuktuk, meals … For my time There I didnt feel like traveling on a budget. Also the area is super quiet, but keep in Mind that its steep uphill to get There
