"Great stay in Cartagena"

Amazing location in the heart of Getsemani. Room was basic but perfect for what is needed. Great rooftop to enjoy a sunset drink.

"Not recommend!!"

2.0

Nothing

It's a private house that has been converted into guest rooms. The location of the apartment is in the center of the bars in the old city, which is good but also terrible, because there is no insulation from noise until the late hours of the night you hear music and noise from the street. A very small room, toilet and shower are really narrow and you can't put anything in there. We asked to get extra towels to go to the beach, and they barely approved us to get them. We asked to be allowed to check out later, because the flight was in the evening, but they didn't confirm on the grounds that there were 2 guests who needed to arrive, even though all the other rooms were empty. It is not recommended at all, and there is no value for the price

Well located in a nice house with a really cool rooftop.

The room we shared was on the ground floor with a bunk bed not made for adults (I.e climbing to the bed felt like the entire unit would fall over). Very basic room, not the one shown on pictures.

"Poor"

3.0

- the very central location walking distance to so much - the roof terrace with shade and a pergola

- the noise from music played out in the street is nearly as loud inside your room almost as though you were outside (you will need earplugs!) - if you arrive after 5 or 6pm you need to have a cell phone plan to allow you to call an after hours number. I was able to pay my taxi driver 10,000 pesos ($2.50 USD) to borrow their phone until I could get my phone activated  - you need to pay 7% extra if you want to pay by a credit card - despite all the toiletries being listed as provided in the listing, there is no shampoo, conditioner, or anything provided besides liquid hand soap - there are no hand towels and wash cloths provided. Just a bath towel - sink drain was incredibly clogged. - bed linens were incomplete. No flat top sheet...only a polyester fitted sheet and a grimy feeling blanket was provided (maybe it was just the humidity though?) - there is a problem with ants here. No food is allowed in the rooms. - power went out for an entire Sunday unexpectedly (with no warning) (about 7am to 8pm) and this hotel doesn't have a generator like others - hotel guests are not allowed to use the kitchen (so why is the kitchen featured heavily in promotion) - not that I can necessarily fault the hotel, but given the small window above my shower bathroom was open when I arrived, I left it open my whole stay and on my last night a bat flew in and I had to get the rabies PEP inoculations as soon as I got home

The central location, the friendliness of the owners (Mrs Fanny made some calls for me, offered us coffee and let us use her fridge to put our bottles of water), the paintings of Mr Melendez that decorate the rooms and the living room.

The bed caved in and the pillows were thin. It had the tiniest bathroom I have ever seen. The water from the faucet was almost a trickle. It was very noisy on a Friday night, less so on a Saturday night. But if you are tired and use earplugs you'll manage to sleep. Ask for rooms #2 or #3 (a little bigger than #2) as they get less noise from the street.
