Mellow Homestay

Very clean place, big room and bathroom. The location is also perfect, only about 8 mins walk from the centre and the bus stop, 15 mins walk to the train station. Ella Rock, the bridge and Little Adam’s Peak all walking distance from here. I didn’t eat here but the owner, who is super nice!, also does free cooking class included in the dinner.

I liked everything here! The lady of the homestay was so nice and always helped me. And by the way, she made the best breakfast for me 😍 the location is somewhat higher, so you have the most beautiful view. First I was like: oh no, it will take me ages to go to the city, but it was just like 5 minutes walking distance. And a big plus is that at night you could sleep so well there.

This accommodation is perfect for relaxing and revitalising after travelling for a while. The breakfast is extraordinary and the nice Lady there is very kind and helpful. The room with the bathroom is kept very clean. From the terrace you have a nice view towards the mountainside.

A great little cottage on a quiet street, but in easy walking distance from the town. The owner is so sweet and joyful, and the meals that she prepared were delicious and ridiculously generous!! It's really worthwhile to have your breakfasts and dinners here. Great value for money and a peaceful convenient stay.

An incredible place to stay, with the loveliest host. The location is brilliant - only a short walk into Ella itself (5-6 mins) at a healthy distance away from the main street which can be noisy, this is so peaceful and quiet. Also stunning views out to Ella Rock and into the valley. The room itself was very comfortable, and absolutely spotless/ clean. The shower also runs hot if you want that! We chose to have breakfast every morning from our host, which I would recommend!! Every morning was a different selection of local breakfast dishes - and so much of it including juice, tea or coffee, fruit, local pancakes and more.

The room had comfortable beds and was very clean. The lady owning this place was very nice and friendly. She made us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast: plenty of fresh fruit, pancakes filled with fruit and sweet coconut, roti, Dahl, poll sambal... And the best tea we have had during our stay in Sri Lanka! (But if you want, she can make a European breakfast too.) The guesthouse is located on walking distance to the Adam's Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge. It is situated in a quiet street. We would definitely recommend!

It was a joy for us to stay at Mellow Homestay! The location is perfect: slightly separated from the main touristy streets but at walking distance from them, with amazing views from the balcony... The room was arranged with care and very clean, the wifi worked beautifully and the restroom was in a perfect condition. But above all, we couldn't have enough of the amazing breakfast prepared by our hostess... Literally! We actually stayed one more day just to have an extra taste of it for an unexpected, but very much appreciated last time!
