Mellow Homestay

The host was very friendly and the cooking class she gave was very interesting and informative.

The room was not very very clean, as we had a couple of cockroaches. The location is calm away from the main strip of Ella but is quite hard to walk there in the dark.

The woman (owner) of the property is really sweet and made our stay even better. She also cooked amazing! (we hab breakfast and dinner) We also had our laundry done! The location is quit and the room was absolutely clean and cozy. If you plan on staying in Ella - stay here!

It’s too far away from the city and the road is not the best to go in the night walking.

Lovely property located in a quiet area with lots of birds and greenery, just a few minutes walk from Ella town, main road and restaurants. Our host was very kind, accommodating & helpful. Clean, safe, quiet and comfortable. The room and bathroom are clean, and the terrace is relaxing to spend an afternoon or evening at. The property was not far from the 9 Arches Bridge, within walkable distance. We would stay again and we recommend this place.

Nothing of much importance.

It’s located perfectly if you want to explore the area. I visited Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock which was all in walking distance. The Sri Lankan breakfast Swarna prepared for me was extremely delicious! She also showed me how to find the best bus for my trip to Matara which was very helpful.

Everything was as expected.

Everything was perfect, it was the cleanest and nicest room we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka at 13 days of our trip. The host lady is an angel and will go above and beyond for you to have an amazing stay. The fruit she gave us for breakfast was enough to feed a king!

It was such a lovely stay at Swarna’s home! I liked it so much that I prolonged my stay from 3 to 6 nights. The room and bathroom are clean, it has all you need and the terrace is super relaxing to spend an afternoon or evening at. Highlight of the stay is Swarna herself. Such a kind and welcoming host, always keen to ensure guests are happy. The breakfast and dinners I had at the place were excellent. I clearly recommend eating there. I already stayed in several home stays for local food but this one is different. The location is great, too. To the nine arches bridge it is a 20-30min walk. You also get fairly fast into Ella town without being exposed to the to busy and loud town. Highly recommend this place!
