Marigold Home Stay

Situated directly inside the fort with a cozy terrace and a nice view towards a couple of pretty buildings. Ashish was very kind and the food was super tasty!

We stayed there for two separate nights (before and after our camel safari) and in the second room, the bed was very hard... 😬

Beautiful location inside the fort, they serve delicious food with a nice view and friendly staff. I wish I could stay longer and would definitely recommend this place!

Host & all staffs are so sweet. They always helped us a lot with warm kindness. Also this place is lovely so much. I would say this home stay is the greatest one in this fort. Nice location, good price, very clean & so much welcome .. thanks for amazing memorizing :)

Nooooooo ..!

I like very much location and clean and confortable rooms whit bathroom and i like the staff that was frendly and help all time. The staff never press you or asking for booking safari, so you feel free and relax,,Everything was perfect i planning stay 2 days but i extend to 6 bcs very comfortable place and good price !!"! I was solo traveling in India and stayed in Marigold. I stayed in total 5 months with the host. At first, he was very kind and helpful, but then I discovered he was a manipulative person and a scammer. He has relationships with most of the guests, keeps in touch with them, and at some point pretends that his hotel partner left with money, claiming he needs funds to reimburse the owner. His partner, Ali, who runs the café at Marigold, never left and is probably not even aware of this. Here are the facts: (1) Ashish borrowed 150€ from me, and I never got the money back. He later asked me for an additional 150€, claiming his partner Ali had taken money from the hotel, and he was in trouble. (2) A Dutch woman was also tricked and ended up launching a crowdfunding campaign for 700€ to help him, or else he claimed he would “go to jail” for not reimbursing the owner (the property actually belongs to his family). This is a pattern. He is a manipulative person who tries to scam guests. I lost a significant amount of money, just like many other women who were trapped by his lies and manipulations. If you want to stay with an honest host, avoid this place! Jaisalmer is a wonderful city with many guesthouses inside the fort, so run away from this man and enjoy your stay!

Marigold Homestay was the perfect spot for our trip! Ashish (the owner) collected us from the train station when we arrived late at night, and made us feel welcome and settled immediately. Throughout the trip he told us about the history of Jaisalmer and showed us some of his favourite viewpoints! He's also available to help with reccomendations and anything else you need. The hotel has a great location inside the Fort and has lovely views of the street below, you feel like you're in a movie because its so beautiful! The room was comfortable, and there's even a cafe onsite which serves delicious food and provides a comfy and cool area to sit. Asish also helped arrange the safari/overnight stay in the desert which was an absolute highlight of the trip! The safari was amazing, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the food cooked from scratch in the desert was excellent, and we had an amazing evening under the stars. I honestly cannot recommend Marigold enough. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend anyone coming to Jaisalmer to stay here. You won't be disappointed!

The host Ashish is such a good-hearted soul - one of the kindest and most helpful hosts I ever had. The hostel is perfectly located in the fort and has a nice terrace to relax from the busy streets. For the price you are paying, I do not think you can get any better place to stay.

My friend and I had a really lovely stay at Marigold, Ashish was an amazing host and helped us arrange an amazing safari in the desert which we loved! The homestay was in a beautiful location and had a really nice restaurant called Kim Cafe which you could order from and look out at the amazing fort whilst eating!

Excellent homestay inside the fort in a great location! The best part was that the host was incredibly kind and helped us with everything. The rooms was okay and they have a nice café where you can sit with other travellers.

The specific room we stayed in didn’t get wifi and phone service, but the other rooms are supposed to be fine.
