Ella Nature valley homestay

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay in Ella and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped – it had everything we needed. We especially appreciated that filtered drinking water and dishes were always available. We were even able to use the washing area to hand-wash some clothes ourselves. We stayed for four nights and found the experience incredibly relaxing. It was also great to have the option to book a delicious breakfast and enjoy dinner at the homestay after an active day in Ella. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and prepared with a lot of care. Another very practical service was the transport offered at regular tuk-tuk prices. The hosts are extremely warm and helpful. They share the experiences of previous guests and therefore give excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. Our children felt very comfortable here, and so did we. From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcome. Thank you so much for the wonderful time we were able to spend in Ella, surrounded by your family. We would love to come back again!

Priyantha & Vihanga did his best to make our stay as pleasant as possible in every way. We felt at home. The breakfast was delicious. The room has a balcony with a beautiful view. Will definitely book again.

Loved the balcony overlooking the fields! Just outside the main center of Ella, in a quiet location surrounded by the sounds of nature! The owners will do anything to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable!

We stayed in this beautiful family home. We had a fabulous welcome and were well looked after. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the views beautiful.

We had a homemade Sri Lankan breakfast, which was out of this world. The host and his family were delightful. The rooms were clean with amazing views. I can recommend this place to everyone with my 100% satisfied experience.

Lovely family run accommodation, very friendly, very honest, best Sri Lankan breakfast with choice of continental if you want, would definitely stay there again!

Ella Nature Valley Homestay was truly exceptional. The rooms were beautiful and spotless, and the family was incredibly kind and welcoming. The breakfast was generous and absolutely delicious – by far the best we had during our trip in Sri Lanka, and this was probably our favorite stay overall.

Wat een fantastische dagen hebben we hier met ons gezin (met 3 kinderen: 6-14-15 jaar) gehad! We hadden beide kamers, dus de complete bovenverdieping voor onszelf. De kamers zijn ruim met een groot balkon. Prachtig uitzicht over de rijstvelden en omliggende bergen. De vader heeft ons meteen meegenomen voor een kleine wandeling door de rijstvelden, wat geweldig was. We hebben genoten van de prachtige omgeving, ondanks dat we hier vrij veel regen hebben gehad. De zoon (Vihanga) is elke dag wel even met ons op pad geweest. Heel leuk! Een bezoek aan de grote (nieuwe) tempel is een aanrader. Je kunt ook eenvoudig diverse watervallen in de buurt bezoeken of een rondleiding bij één van de theeplantages boeken. Zelf thee plukken én proeven. Ook erg leuk met de kinderen! We hebben daarnaast (natuurlijk) de Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adams Peak, Ravana Adventure Park en het centrum van Ella bezocht. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en ook het avondeten (rice and curry) is zeker aan te raden. Moeder kookt heerlijk. Het gezin doet er echt alles aan om het je zoveel mogelijk naar de zin te maken en staan echt altijd voor je klaar. Fijne gesprekken gevoerd en veel te weten gekomen over de omgeving en het land. Tranen en knuffels bij het afscheid. Als we terug gaan naar Sri Lanka, gaan we ook zeker terug naar deze plek, dit zeer gastvrije gezin. Ook onze tieners hebben dit als een van onze leukste overnachtingsplekken ge-rate. Zegt zeker wat! ;) Dikke aanrader.

De vrij drukke weg loopt echt om de homestay heen en naar het centrum lopen lokte ons niet echt, maar dat kan ook met de regen te maken hebben gehad ;) Wij vonden de homestay en omgeving top, en een stuk leuker dan het centrum van Ella (al begrijpen we wel dat veel mensen hier enthousiast over zijn: 's avonds veel drukte!)

Vihan and his dad were very nice and helpful. The rooms are big and clean and the terrace near them is beautiful and comfortable. We had the privilege to join the Esala Perahera Festival near by and it was amazing experience Good place for families

Location has noise from the road near by, low water pressure, the water heater was broken. Vihan and his dad did their best to fix it and indeed after 2 days the problem was solved. The blankets need a bit of renovation.
