Sigiri Siesta Homestay

Great family with good English language skills. Very intentional about service. Large comfortable room - expressly designed for guests and with separate entrance from the main home. Great breakfast. We left filled to the brim. Would have loved to stay longer.

Absolutely loved it here! We stayed in the homestay for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean an we had all we needed. Mahesh, the owner, and his family were so helpful and welcoming during our stay. I can only recommend his place enough if you are looking for an affordable, calm and memorable place to stay near Sigirya. Not only did he make an amazing typical Sri Lankan breakfast for us, which was included, he even gave us very helpful advice on what to do in the area. We will be back here next time!

Clean and big room, one of the nicest bed and pillows in Sri Lanka, good shower, refreshing green view, all the family was very welcoming. The location was perfect in nature, lovely village.

We had a very great stay! The room was very clean and cosy. The whole family is very kind and helpful. The owner organised a great safari for us and gave us lots of tips for things to do in the area. And the dinner was so delicious. We would definitely come back!

Amazing place, super clean and cozy. Landlords are super friendly.

Mahesh is the most amazing host. He suggested so many things to do from which you can choose freely and he will organize it. You'll be taken care of 100%. He even took me to an annual Buddhist event with his friends, staying in their home with only locals - I felt like a guest of honor and I feel very privileged to be part of that! The place is truly comfy with an amazingly huge bed and is very nicely situated in the jungle. In the night there are only sounds of animals. Breakfast was also simply amazing. And then to top it. The money for value is unbeatable!

I did a tour to a village where they showed me a little bit how they make rice flour and so on. Being in the village with the locals was great and the food as well. I would have preferred to do a real cooking class. Tour included a short bull cart and a boat ride, which was just too touristy for my taste. But thats a question of taste and therefore only a heads up ;)

We loved the owner, he is so friendly. The room was very nice and the breakfast was lovely!
