Dreamscape home stay

Mahesh and his parents were excellent hosts, helping to organise our time in Kandy by sorting tours and drivers for us. The room itself was as listed, and the view form the balcony is incredible - a really nice place to relax!Mahesh's cousin Chinthaka does an excellent tour of the city. As a bonus, Mahesh and his parents helped to look after my girlfriend when she was ill, providing Sri Lankan remedies that helped a lot.

The towels and bedding were clean but felt a bit old and tired. Also, as a tall person (194cm) the bed was a bit short and had a wooden end so wasn't the most comfortable.

Very nice hosts, you immediately feel welcome at this home stay. Since I had to leave early the next morning they made me a packed breakfast, thank you very much. It's walking distance from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which was very convenient for me. Also the cousin with his tuktuk is very friendly and provides good service. Thanks again!

Mahesh and his home were the best welcome to Sri Lanka for us! The home stay, which has fabulous views from the balcony, is located a 15 min walk from the centre, an easy & enjoyable walk for us. It felt safe all times of day. Mahesh and his parents were very friendly, and extremely accommodating. The Sri Lankan breakfast was AMAZING and always delicious! They even made us a packed one to take when we had an early start (as pictured). We used Mahesh’s cousin Chamila for his Tuktuk services each of our 4 days there, he’s lovely & very affordable; he took us on a tour of kandy, all the way to Sigiryia with lots of cool pit stops, and even collected us from random locations we hiked to 🤣 Mahesh Mother’s cooking is outstanding, we recommend you spend an evening meal & watching the cooking process at theirs! If you are looking for an authentic, friendly place to learn about Kandy from its locals, this is the place for you! We had no issues at all and can’t wait to return in the future…and tell all of our friends and family to visit!!

The hospitality of Mahesh was extraordinary. He is super friendly, he explained everything well, organized the tour and tuktuk for a reasonable price and was over punctual when we wanted to start early and agreed on breakfast time. We could see that he and his family are putting their hearts to make you feel like home🏠

Everything was great

The owners are so friendly and smiling person so i couldn’t ignore them when they want to take picture with me but accomdation was not good for us.

The bed was not comfortable, the room is so small and fresh air ends very quickly in the room you can’t open the window night because of the animal so don’t prefer small room. The breakfast is the worst breakfast i’ve ever had in Sri Lanka and water taste was not good so we can’t drink any tea and coffee.

Mahesh and his family were wonderful. I think I had the best cup of tea I have ever had. The room was comfy and clean. We loved our stay, we could not recommend it more.

The Homestay is operated by a heartfelt loving host family. You feel welcome immediately and home. The rooms are pleasantly organized. Especially the light-flooded common room with dining table and arms lines for reading is inviting. From the terraces you have a view view to the Knuckle mountains. Mahesh is a helpful organizational talent, the mother prepares for breakfast, as well as tasty local food on request. I felt very comfortable in this Homestay.

Very friendly family, incredible views over Kandy and well located - a 20 min walk or short tuk tuk ride into town. Bedroom was clean and had everything we needed.
