Quel bonheur pour d'avoir terminé nos 2 mois au Cambodge par ces 5 nuits avec la famille Meas. Leur homestay est tout simplement fabuleux ! Linda et ses parents vous accueillent dans des bungalows privatifs spacieux et ils préparent pour vous les repas (inclus dans le prix) en les adaptant si besoin à vos envies. Presque tout ce que vous mangez ici provient du jardin ou de leurs champs (riz, légumes, herbes aromatiques,...et les poules). Les repas, préparés devant vous dans la cuisine extérieure, sont délicieux et très copieux. Des vélos sont à disposition pour parcourir la campagne environnante. Et pour aller un peu plus loin, voir les temples ou aller à l’aéroport, aucun souci, Linda s’occupe pour vous du tuk tuk ou du taxi. Ici tout est calme, appaisé. Slow life cambodgienne assurée. Mais il y a plus. Il y a leur joyeuse école d'anglais et d'informatique pour les enfants des alentours. Il y a les ateliers manuels de tissage pour perpétuer une tradition Khmer. Il y a la production de savons naturels. Tout prend sens. Tout s’imbrique. Vous êtes au coeur d’un fabuleux projet tenu par une famille extraordinaire. La région de Takeo n’est pas la plus touristique et pourtant c’est ici, aux portes de Doun Kaev que s’étirent en toutes saisons, jusqu’au Vietnam, d’immenses rizières avec leur canaux et leurs lacs. Siem Reap, Kampot, Koh Rong ...et Takeo au Meas family homestay.

Un petit détail qui peut être embétant si vous arrivez par vos propres moyens : sur Google, vous trouverez 2 localisations. Le point " Meas family homestay", perdu au mileu de nul part, a été mal positionné à l’origine. Linda a dû créer un nouveau point avec un autre nom : "Cambodian homestay". C’est la bonne localisation.

L'ambiance qui se dégage de ce lieu est magique. Cadre idyllique. Repas très bons et vélos prêtés pour se balader dans la campagne environnante. Linda et sa tante sont deux femmes très gentilles et avec qui on peut échanger facilement.

Ein absoluter Höhepunkt unserer Reise. Linda und ihre Familie sind grosszügige und liebevolle Gastgeber, die einem jeden Wunsch erfüllen. Die Lage ist wunderschön in einem ländlichen Gebiet. Wir genossen das herrliche Essen mit frischen, lokalen Zutaten. Linda hat für uns Touren nach Angkor Borei und Phnom Chisor organisiert, und als unser Zug nach Phnom Penh ausgefallen war, hat sie uns in wenigen Minuten einen Transport vermittelt. Wir sind sehr dankbar, eine so wunderbare Familie kennengelernt zu haben. Die Familie engagiert sich auch stark in der Förderung der lokalen Gemeinschaft. Wir besuchten die Weberei und die Schule, welche den Kindern zusätzlich zur öffentlichen Schule Kurse anbietet, zum Beispiel in Englisch und IT.

Linda and her family were incredibly kind and caring. Linda cooked three delicious meals a day. The Tom Yum Soup was honestly the best I’ve ever had, made with fresh vegetables and herbs from her own farm! She also kindly arranged pickup and drop-off, as well as a half-day TukTuk tour to Chisor Temple at my request. The peaceful garden, with adorable cats and chickens, made the stay even more special. I also enjoyed watching the weaving process and purchasing the beautiful handmade products. Linda is so smart and I truly enjoyed our conversations. I can’t thank you enough. I truly hope to come back someday!

At night, I was a bit nervous about the sounds I heard, but they were all natural and reminded me of the incredible life and energy of nature.

Family were so welcoming and friendly. Great food. Really authentic.

Was very hard to find

We felt so welcomed by Linda and her family. She went out her way to prepare amazing home cooked local foods for us, which were all included in the stay. So generous. Linda also helped us know what was good to see around the local area, and organise transport. The room was relatively basic but clean and comfortable.

Nothing!

This place is an oasis. Beautiful located in the countryside, far away from any traffic noise. But the at this homestay is Linda and her parents. Wonderful people with a great hospitality. They speak perfectly English. After 4 days in Phnom Penh this was a well earned retreat. I‘ll come back if I get the opportunity

WiFi was weak. But actually that was good, too.
