The best thing in that place was the old lady making breakfast. She barely speaks any english, but is such a sweet human being. She even went an extra mile and on my check out day made earlier breakfast than usual.

Not all the rooms are up to good nick. If you get the room downstairs don't expect much. You get what you pay for. So I don't complain. The price to quality ratio is reasonable!

The owner and his mother are very friendly and ready to help you in every matter.

Jilan was very attentive to guests needs. His Mum and Sister were lovely too. Only 5 minute walk to Bentota beach which is beautiful

Everyone tries to sell trips/products all the time, it's quite tiring. You must be very assertive, otherwise you'll end up spending all your time and money on various overpriced tourist attractions instead of a beautiful and very cheap beach ;) Also be careful with "authentic herbal garden" trip. It's interesting, you can learn about herbs and tip your guide at the end but products and massages are wayyy overpriced so I don't recommend buying anything there!

Location is close to the beach. Breakfast is simple but good, and owner's mom is kind woman. I arrived a bit late, and there was a member of owner's family to guide me from a train station to homestay location. Room which I booked (a ground floor) was occupied, so I was put into the second floor. The room itself is recently built and spacious enough.

Floor in a bathroom should be leveled better, because water does not go to drain properly, so there is constantly wet floor. No mirror in the bathroom. Extra attention from owner constantly offering additional services. You start have a feeling it becomes too "commercialized".

The hospitality was very amazing. Jilan went out of his way to accommodate us . A very pleasing welcome and basically made sure we had a very good stay, even though it was a short one . The stay was complimented by an excellent breakfast prepared by his mother. Overall a very good stay for the value of money spent .
