Light house beach home

It is a homestay but has all the facilities you would expect from an expensive beach resort. Greeted us with a welcome drink. They are maintaining the place really well. Dinner was good at a reasonable price with a sea view. The host arranged us a tuk-tuk to reach the town and helped us to exchange the currency. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Light House Beach Home in Dondra is a charming little spot that made for a comfortable and easy stay. The room was clean, tidy, and had everything I needed. The location is great—just a short walk to the Dondra Lighthouse and the coast. One of the best parts was the cute little juice bar attached to the property. It’s a great place to grab something refreshing and relax for a while. The staff were lovely—friendly, helpful, and always up for a chat. A simple, no-fuss stay in a peaceful setting. Would definitely return if I’m in the area again.

Perfectly located in a bay close to the lighthouse, very friendly and helpful staff, nice outside area with hammocks and swings, that make an awesome atmosphere. It was a pleasure spending several nights in this jewel.

We liked everything about the property. But there unfortunately is some garbage at the bay (swimming is still possible!). If that problem was solved, the place would be divine.

This place has an amazing location, perfect for relaxing. The beach is quiet and peaceful, making it a great spot to unwind. The outdoor space is fantastic—you can spend hours just enjoying the atmosphere. A lovely family runs this place, and they offer delicious homemade food in their restaurant. They also provide snorkeling masks, so you can spend hours in the water watching the beautiful fish. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the sea and the beauty of southern Sri Lanka!

This place is wonderful. It's located in a very pretty bay next to the lighthouse. The family who run it will do everything they can to make your stay memorable. The room was very big and very clean. The breakfast was one of the best we had in 3 months in Sri Lanka. Dinner was cooked fresh and very tasty. We stayed for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer.

Great location for a nice peaceful stay

A very pleasant and calm place to spend a day or several days. The picturesque lighthouse and the bay are within walking distance.The breakfast was wonderful ,and you can also order something for dinner. I recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend! It is a beautiful little beach used mostly by locals where you can go swimming (and also a little bit of snorkelling). The room is one of the best we had during our one month in sri lanka - everything nice, clean, thoughtful and the sea view is a big plus. Also the restaurant owned by the brother is super nice and chilled with various options to hang out (hammocks and so one). We would definitely come back to this little paradise
