Light house beach home

All the staff were very helpful and kind. The homemade curry was delicious. The location at Dondrs head is really beautiful and they have a fabulous shady garden with hammocks, swings and deckchairs where you can eat or enjoy fresh fruit juices while you watch the waves crash around you.

It’s a unique location, with sun, sand, sea, and access to the ocean on a boat, private beach and a place to unwind, relax, enjoy the beauty, tranquility, whilst viewing the sunrise and sunset from the same location. You are just safely tucked away, from all the hustle and bustle of city life, where time stands still, with only the sound of the waves and the roaring ocean can be heard, besides the sound of birds, sea gulls, and nature.

Everything was so good, unspoilt and close to nature

We were lucky to be staying in one of the brand new rooms. It was beautiful, comfy bed, spotlessly clean, and a balcony looking over the sea. It's so lovely to be able to wake up and see the sea. And go to sleep listening to it. The family were really welcoming, in fact they invited us to New Year dinner which was incredible and to go with them to the temple, which was a great experience

What a gem! The location is absolutely stunning, and the family running it is so sweet and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wished I could have stayed longer. The room had a beautiful view of the beach, and the food and drinks were delightful. Highly recommend!

The hosts are friendly and helpful. Our room was equipped with quite new AC, mosquito net and towels are provided. Nice room design. Wifi is good. It was very clean! In front of the building is a great relax area with hammocks, sun beds, tables, swing, over water nets and they serve fresh fruit juices. The lighthouse is just a stone throw away and invites to take great pictures during sunset. We took some pics of the lighthouse from the roof - clear view on it. We can recommend to stay here!

The location, the people.

The unique location and quiet serene environment.

The bay is absolutly beautifull. The host is very kind and its also extremly quiet there compared to the chaotic streets of sri lanka. A highlight every morning was also the breafast directly at the sea. The Host got our best friend at the time we were staying there. We had so much fun with him and the locals he took us to!

There is nothing to complain about. The only little thing is, that the beds are normal sized for sri lanka. So for taller europeans, for example, you may have problems to fit in the bed.

I loved my stay at this place. A magical family run oasis in Sri Lanka. I am more than happy to recommend!
