Light house beach home

A little piece of paradise! This place is famous for its lighthouse which is great, but the beach is even more amazing! Amazing spot for snorkeling - it's not easy to find a place in sri lanka to snorkel and see so much alive corals (and many many fishes!!). The restaurant in front of the accommodation is built half on the trees, on top of the sea, and you can have fresh lobster just taken from the sea...delicious! So if you want to have: - an incredible beach 1 min away - the best beach bar in sri lanka - the most incredible snorkeling place - quietness and local feeling This is your place! And thanks to our hosts, super welcoming and nice, they even brought us to a food festival nearby one night, so nice!

Best stay we had in sri lanka (or maybe ever on holidays)! Kindest family and Dilanga is a perfect host. Great sri lankan breakfast, lunch and dinners (and fresh juices) available, you will have the cute and calm beach in front of the garden to yourself during the weekend, perfect for kids, in the weekend friendly locals join. The rooms are clean and cool down during the night. We could even take warm showers with a view on the lighthouse. Location is perfect to visit everything in the area without having to stay in mass tourism. Dilanga also arranged a visit at the national cinnamon research center, very high recommend. Our stay was perfect! We would advise everyone who likes to go just off the beaten path not to miss out on this genuine experience. (We stayed here for 6 nights (to short!) with 2 kids, 2,5y and 0,5y, and we all had the best time, by the time we left home it felt like leaving our new gained family behind)

The host and his family are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made our stay an awesome one, served a wonderful breakfast and on our first night a candlelight dinner just by the sea. Completely by chance we happened to be in Dondra during Perehera festival season, so the family took us to the Festival Parade with thousands of dancers and elephants. Absolutely stunning!

We should have stayed longer :)

The location is really good and the accommodation also but by far the best part about it are the peoples that run this place.

Location was awesome if you looking for more local and less touristy feel :)) Family is very lovely and helpful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is available on request,reasonable prices. Bonus very delicious traditional Sri Lankan food!! :)) smoothies,fruit juices also available.They have chill area by the beach. Town in walking distance. You can go up the light house on Saturdays, spectacular views. Matara is also not far with transport. Thank you for the wonderful time, much love!

Loved it here! Off the beaten track, amazing scenery, local friendly vibes, best hammock in SL. Totally love that the owners here clean up the beach every day and they are environmentally aware. Also very helpful with transport options. I really felt happy here, it was one of my favourite places in all of SL. Thank you guys, keep up the creativity and hospitality, you are the best!
