we loved our stay here! The location and the family are amazing!

This place is a hidden gem, very green, lots of fresh air, and is incredibly beautiful. P.s. you need a good pair of earplugs cause of the mosque.

One of my best stay at Sri Lanka.. Clean rooms, surround with paddy field n farms, free breakfast very good hospitality from the owner.. Very economical cost... Just need a car or bike to travel from Ella town.

The old fella tried to please. That was the only positive thing about the whole place.

Where do I start. You list it at 1.8km from Ella but it’s 4.8km in reality. I’ve traveled for 45 years and this has to be the dirtiest place I’ve stayed in. All the room linen was stained and I believed used. The descriptions are nowhere near reality. My photos show soap eaten by rats. Ants in the sugar that they serve at breakfast. Mould on the mats used to drain crockery. Bags of empty bottles stored in “children’s play area”. Empty bottles blowing around the rooms. Dirty bed linen. Dirty towels. Mattress was paper thin and I used dirty bed linen to provide more padding. Dead beetles on the bedroom floor. My brother had a hair in his fruit on the first morning. There was strangers hair on the floor in the bathroom. Not enough water pressure to actually fill the shower head. I tried to cancel before we arrive due to the distance from town but couldn’t. We canceled the 2nd night’s booking but couldn’t get into the hotel recommended to us and figured we were already contaminated so we stayed the second night. I’ll be seeking a refund.

Peaceful location with nice views. Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly and welcoming family. One of my favourite places I've stayed in Sri Lanka.

Cleanliness

There was no table or wardrobe or any hooks to hang the clothes and keep the stuff. Just a bed was there

My wife and I had a wonderful stay with Samit and his family! Their effort to make sure we had a wonderful time in Ella was second to none. Their location, 3km from Ella town, is perfect for those who want to be a little out of the noise but still be in the middle of everything there is to do in the area. It is beautiful and quiet. Communication was fantastic, Samit's knowledge of the area and good things to do while in Ella was excellent. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was another thing! A varied and amazing spread, we never managed to finish and always took some out for packed lunches. We recommend having at least one dinner! Really delicious fresh local food. We had a wonderful time in Ella town and highly recommend Ella Peaceful Heaven Homestay as the perfect base to explore the region.
