Arthur's Pass Ecolodge

The host immediately made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The view from every window was incredible, the bed was very comfy and the breakfast was delicious (especially the home made bread). I was pleased to be able to nip to a local hotel and do some washing very cheaply, on recommendation from our host.

Our stay with Helen at the EcoLodge was a special experience. Helen made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in, with hot drinks, a run down on how the EcoLodge works and a delicious home cooked meal in the evening. It was great to chat with Helen about herself and her incredible adventures, as well as asking lots about ourselves. We would highly recommend a stay at the EcoLodge with anyone considering! Thanks again Helen for your hospitality!

Truly incredible location with the most stunning views for miles of mountains and the river. Helen clearly loves people and makes you very welcome.

We really enjoyed the amazing views and exceptional hospitality, with a lovely breakfast included! The location was so peaceful too and beautiful walks on your doorstep.

The toilet was a bit unconventional however that was due to the property being eco friendly!

Helen is an incredible host. Lovely conversation and greeted us with hot drinks. Flexible with check in time, cooked a lovely breakfast. Very kid friendly. The stay also has incredible views. This place is a must stay.

Everything was perfect. No complaints.

We didn’t end up staying the night because we didn’t realize it was a shared facility. We came at the check in time and the house was messy with food left out and no signs as to which room was ours or communication about check in from the owner. We were too uncomfortable to stay the night.

Sehr herzlicher, persönlicher Empfang. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und wir hatten wunderbare Gespräche. Man muss sich bewusst sein, es ist eine Ecolodge: sprich Solaranlage auf dem Dach, komfortables Trocken-WC, Gemeinschafts Dusche. Zum erreichen des Wohnbereichs muss man über eine Treppe nach unten gehen (ist also nicht für Leute mit Gehbehinderung geeignet). Es empfiehlt sich das Abendessen dazu zu buchen. Die Gastgeberin ist eine gute Köchin.
