Helen is a wonderful host and an admirable woman!

Helen is a great host who loves to play games and have good conversation. Everyone is evenly welcome. We had a great night with Koreans, Dutch and kiwis!

Amazing views from the living room and the bedrooms!! The host Helen was so welcoming that you felt much like you were visiting a friend than just staying in her home. We exchanged life stories and she was genuinely interested in ours. The dinner and breakfast she prepared were both very good. While it is not a 4 star accommodation because of the off-the-grid uniqueness, which isn’t for everyone, Helen is most certainly a 5 star host!

Helen was a great host and provided healthy and filling meals during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the property has magnificent views from the rooms. It was lovely to meet other travellers too!

This place ist just wonderfull. Helen is an amazing host with loads of stories and a great chef on top. Also you can get some great hiking tips ! The view in this house, together with Helen’s company for the evening was tue cherry on top of our New Zealand vacation. We will be back !

Na Helen és absolutament encantadora, ens va fer sentir com a convidats a casa seva i ens va tractar com si fóssim amics de tota la vida. La casa és acollidora i l'habitació que vàrem ocupar tenia un finestral enorme amb vistes espectaculars a la muntanya. Atès que arribàvem un poc tard i no hi ha gaires opcions per la zona ens va suggerir que reservéssim al restaurant de l'hotel Bealey (molt bona recomanació) o, alternativament fer-nos el sopar ella (cosa que vàrem declinar). Com si fos poc amb aquestes atencions, ens va oferir un esmorzar molt bo amb pa fet seu i ous remenats que ens va fer també ella.

Tot va ser fantàstic i no tenim cap queixa. Trobam que convé fer notar que, com que és a una zona bastant remota, l'aigua no és corrent sinó que ve d'un dipòsit d'aigua pluvial, l'electricitat es genera tota allà mateix amb plaques solars (i, per tant, la disponibilitat d'endolls és lògicament limitada) i l'excusat funciona amb un sistema sec.

Helen est une hôte exceptionnelle qui nous a accueilli dans son écolodge douillet, la vue était splendide, la chambre était tout confort et nous nous sommes régalés pour le petit déjeuner Je recommande très fortement !

Such a mind blowing human being is Helen ; and the house, the view, the cosy feeling are outstanding ! A large, comfy bed with an amazing view and, if you wish it, a delicious dîner are awaiting for you. This is the kind of unforgettable meeting that enlights a stay. We hope to meet you again, Helen !
