Kota's House Homestay

I wish I was in Hue longer because this was a fantastic place to stay. Everything was clean and comfortable - felt like being at home. The hostess, Hanh, was the loveliest person. Since I had to board a sleeper train the next evening, she allowed me to return to the homestay for a shower before boarding, and even helped dry some of my washing. Her two dogs were adorable too. I will definitely stay here when I visit Hue again!

Just a note about the location - I didn't realise this place is located on the opposite side of the Imperial Citadel entrance, so I had to walk all the way around! If you don't mind a bit of walking, the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet so it's worth staying in.

Lovely friend place

Wonderful room and balcony. The owner is a very sweet lady who was very kind and helpful. Quiet location and away from the touristic parts of the city. But near the Citadel. I strongly recommend this excellent homestay.

Super good host, we arrived late and she was there for us. Perfect. Good room and confort.

Amazing hospitality from the best host! She was so kind to us and helped with everything. She let us use the kitchen, the coffee was perfect (at last real coffee and not instant like elsewhere), traditionally with condensed milk. She even let us try her homemade yogurt - a little taste of heaven! The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. We heartily recommend this stay.

My room was behind the host‘s kitchen and felt a bit like the room of the grandparents. Private shower and toilet were outdoors in the backyard.

The host is super nice! She helped us organize a laundry service and gave us nice tips where to eat.

The description in Booking is a bit missleading, since the bathroom is outside. It's essentially a backyard turned into a bathroom. The door was tricky to open and close, especially if you want to use the bathroom in the night. The host offered us to use the other bathroom, but that would mean we had to share it, which was exactly what we didn't want in the first place. In the pictures of the place, some breakfast is shown. Which implied that there was breakfast, which is not true. In general, all the pictures are quite missleading. The apartment smells like mold, but I guess that is quite common in Vietnam.

The host is wonderful and very helpful.The location is good, 20 minutes of walk to the Imoerial City.

We came in late December, it was rainy season, so we were constatly wet and cold.In Vietnam apartmans there is no heating of any kind-ACs only have dry/cool mode. So be prepared for that:)

So lovely place to stay, Hanh was so nice and helpful and truly made us feel like in home during our short visit there. There were two cute dogs, beautiful balcony and the area itself is also rather calm, closeby the Imperial City.
