Mai Châu Home

This place is absolutely stunning. Hoi is by far the best host we’ve ever stayed with and I’m not exaggerating!! The friendliest, kindest man who couldn’t do enough for us. Gave recommendations, free tea, coffee and water, booked our next bus for us and looked after us so well. The property is also so cute and clean in the perfect spot to explore the cute village of Mai Chau, the valley, the rice fields and surrounding mountains. We wished we stayed longer and we will be staying here again when we return to Mai Chau one day.

Nothing, it’s perfect

The stuff was extremely friendly, I was in the constant touch with the host (as he was currently in a different city) and he gave me a lot of useful tips and helped me to arrange a scooter.

Amazing homestay! Hoi and his family were the greatest hosts. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home and are so friendly. Hoi made many recommendations and helped us arrange tours, meals and transportation. The included daily breakfast was delicious, but you must try dinner at the accommodation! The rooms were clean and well located but the service and home atmosphere made this a magical place. Thanks so much Hoi!

Our host Hoi was just amazing. He gave us great recommendations for what we could do the next day and rented motorbikes for us. The recommendations were really awesome and a bit off the beaten path, so we didn't meet many other foreigners. Hoi speaks perfect english and will help you out with anything you ask him, like organizing a bus ride. Also he was very welcoming and invited us to drink some happy water (rice wine ;)) with him. We really enjoyed our time in Mai Chau and would love to come back.

Hoi and his family were so welcoming and helpful. He went above and beyond, from booking transport, giving us routes for cycling and walking into the higher hills. They even did some laundry for us! Facilities are great and so authentic and we learnt about Vietnamese history and culture. Food was superb too and we especially enjoyed our introduction to Happy Water!

This place is magic, in the middle between the village and rice fields, very close to all the attractions of the district. The house is the typical countryside vietnamese house, very clean and beautiful. The host family is very warm and kind, they help you with literaly everything you need. The food is great, as well as happy water which is a special liquor homemade. Hoi (the host guy) is also a tour guide and took us discovering the mountains with rice fields and showed us the real life of small comunities living there. You can also rent bikes and scooters to go all around the countryside. I highly recommend this place, it is the best to rest enjoy countryside and relax a little bit.

Mai Chau home was one of the absolute highlights of our trip through Vietnam. Hoi and his family were superhosts, the food was delicious, the location very central in the vallet to take off on hikes and the room had a scenic view of the mountains and rice paddies. I would highly recommend staying for some nights during your Vietnam!
