Las habitaciones necesitan una renovación pero por el precio del albergue lo aconsejo

This place is in a lovely location, just off the main road so it’s nice and quiet. The hosts were so welcoming, kind and friendly. They accommodated any requests we had and couldn’t have been nicer people.

The WiFi wasn’t really working but we have SIM cards so it wasn’t an issue

Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und ich habe mich wohl gefühlt.

This place is in a prime location, right behind the railway station with fabulous views of the town and valley in which Ella sits. The owners speak English very well and are a great source of knowledge for onward travel in Sri Lanka as well as the culture and history of the country. The breakfast is superb. Everything is spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and there was proper hot water in the bathroom for the shower. It's possible to take a shortcut to the town centre by going through the station over the bridge across the rails. Banks, shops, bars etc are all just a couple of minutes' walk away. Some of the rooms have more natural light than others. The one we had only had windows at the front which made it feel a bit cave-like. The towels were small and a bit on the thin side and I suspect made of some cotton and synthetic mix. This made it difficult to dry off properly. The humidity in the area makes it tricky to get washing and towels dry but the owners happily replaced our towels each day with fresh ones. Note that this property is about 50 metres up a track from the main road. The trackway is a little steep and gets very wet and gritty during heavy rain. Cars are able to get up here but some taxi drivers might refuse to. It's no problem for a tuk-tuk.

Ägaren var extremt snäll och hjälpte till med allt möjligt för att vi skulle få det så bra som möjligt. Finns inget att klaga på

Absolutely everything was great! Lovely hosts and a great location, close to everything in Ella. If you're coming to Ella, this is the best place for you! :)
