Charming homestay in French colonial house, a short walk away from the Imperial Palace. Beautiful garden in the quiet part of old Hue, away from the bustle and the tourists.

lovely grounds. the family who own the Homestay grew up in the house next door and are lovely.

there are a couple of dogs (not strays) that live on the property. they were unfriendly when I came home one night in the dark but kept their distance

Beautiful room, stunning gardening and the warmest most lovely welcome!

Inmidst of older parts of Hue (much better than the tourist quarter south of the river) = good walks through back streets. Busy quarter but not loud at all. Big charming garden. The guest villa is part of several older buildings in the back of the garden, evidently a well-to-do home of long tradition. The host lady is very welcoming, cheerful, helpful.

A little bit of confusion about "laundry" (we speak zero Vietnamese). Only on the last day did we find out that there indeed was a washing machine on the top floor, somewhat hidden.

Dao's home was beautiful, her gardens enchanting, her dogs adorable, the balconies wonderful. It was truly a great stay.

There was nothing not to like.

The house is sensational, French colonial style, with woodwork to make any antiquarian drool. It’s walking distance to the Imperial city, but away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. Getting to that area is no problem anyway, as a taxi costs less than 2 euros each way.

everything about this place is great. the welcoming, the big home, the rooms w balconies, the use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden seating areas. the hostess went above and beyond to have food delivered when it was pouring rain one evening. fellow guests were interesting.

nothing bad whatsoever except breakfast not included. but awesome coffee and banh mi steps away.

The warm welcome and helpful service. the garden setting away from the bustle of the town was restful and attractive.
