Damsen Homestay Ella

Really good value homestay in Ella, only a short walk from the centre. The owner was very kind and made sure we were able to find everything we needed in the town.

The neighbourhood dogs were noisy at night.

Cleanliness and serenity

The location is great as it's very quiet surrounded by nature but just a short walk to town. The room was simple but comfortable, and the space to relax outside makes for plenty of space. Good value for money and a friendly host.

The breakfast could have been more nutritious.

We stayed with this lovely family for 3 days. They are very sweet and want to make sure you're taken care of. The location is in the middle of nature with lots of animals such as monkeys, squirrels, parrots and other birds around. When sitting at the terrace you can see them climbing in the trees, absolutely wonderful! Breakfast was okay, but don't expect too much. Cleanliness was okay, but not great. Overall the stay was very pleasant, especially for the rate they charge. Would recommend!

Good place to stay in Ella. We stayed as a group of 5 boys. Good base and near to the town. The breakfast was good. The host was very friendly and kind.

The shower is really nice but the hot water stopped working, however not the end of the world and would recommend. Bit difficult to get in contact with the host if you need too.

We spent 3 nights here and had the loveliest time. Ariuapala and his wife are very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We loved relaxing on the terrace, enjoying the views of the jungle and the many animals that pass by. The location was perfect, very quick to get into town and the shower was amazing. Thanks for all the tea, we loved it!
