The owner, Kumari, takes care about everything in a very attentive and friendly way. Like a mother with a very good heart. I liked the flowers and plants in her house. It’s like a small paradise when you come inside.

The street is loud and dirty but entering the guesthouse is like entering into another world.

"A familiar atmosphere in a house with a past that needs to be discovered"

We were surprised to discover a house with a history of over 200 years, which belongs to an aristocratic family. From the busy street you enter a space with fairy tale atmospherestory. We stayed for a week in this superb guesthouse. Mrs. Kumari is a warm person and eager to give directions to know the beauty of the places and the wonderful soul of her people. Every day we received different, fresh and very tasty breakfast. We also had a very tasty and rich dinner, fresh prepared in the house (It's an option we recommend to select). Although we were here after another 17 days in Sri Lanka, we had the opportunity to eat different dishes that Mrs. Kumari gave us all the details about. If you come to Kandy, don't miss this location because it is different from the classic guesthouse. You will feel like family, and access to the main objectives is very easy.

Hospitality of Kumari and others at the house is amazing. They make you feel very at home. House itself is beautiful with a lot of character and charm. A great location for walking to places in the city.

Could be improved with a bit of refurbishment like painting the walls.

the place is very beautiful, well located and clean. the owner of this place was so kind and nice, she gave us lots of advices for our trip and was very welcoming. we had dinner there and it was delicious. we really advise you to stay in this guesthouse if you plan to travel to kandy cause we had a great time ❤️

"Home away from home"

Kumari takes care of everything you may need. she was very helpful and kind with all of us, specially with our kids. the house is so charming and the breakfast was really good. i recommend also to have dinner there while listening to Kumari.
