The bathroom was a bit smelly

The host were very kind and welcoming us in their house. The home made dinner was amazing. Even if it’s located directly on the main road you did not hear a lot of it inside. But if you are sensitive to noice at nice it might be better to use earplugs. Walking distance from the lake.

The bathroom is quite small and the pressure of the shower could be improved.

We felt really welcome! it’s a really nice place to come home to after a long day and you will be treated like family friends!

We loved our stay here, everything was perfect! Super friendly, interesting and helpful host, cute cat and the location is great - about 15 minute walk to the lake and forest. Highly recommended having dinner, we took both nights and it was so tasty, particularly enjoyed the string hopper biryani!

Nothing, we loved everything

This home has a 200 years old history. The host was very friendly and helpful. She provided suggestions and guidance on what to do and what it would cost. Location is convenient if you dont mind walking 10min to 20min to attraction sites. Else it's also very convenient to get on public transport right outside the home. The vegetarian dinner prepared ( on request ) was delicious. Though it's within Kandy, it's quiet and lovely inside. Love the little garden inside.

Kumari is an exceptionally kind host. We were grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in her home - and learnt lots whilst we were there!

The space outside the rooms are lovely, there are lots of plants and it felt lovely. The location was brilliant, perfect to get to the sights. The rooms are simple and quite basic. The train line runs along the back of the guest house and we found this very noisy when the trains went past. The lady who owns it was very friendly as were the staff.

We felt it was quite expensive for what it was, it was quite a lot more than we paid anywhere else and the room was simple.

Very very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and nice little garden. It’s located in the town center. We would definitely come back 😊

It's part of her six generation family house, a beautiful home with an internal garden where you can discover the story of Sri Lanka through Kumari's memories. She is the most welcoming and sweet host, the food is delicious, the guesthouse is clean, comfy and beautiful and is located in the center of Kandy.
