Friendly owners and peaceful place.😊

The whole guest house was beautiful and well taken care of. The room was clean and comfortable, and when we had a problem with our toilet it was fixed immediately. The breakfast was delicious and our lovely host Sarath was kind and helpful and a delight to talk to. Thank you so much!

Beautiful family home, very friendly welcome, big shared room to relax with comfortable armchairs next to the bedroom, bananas from the garden !

The best thing about freedom lodge is Sarath, the owner, he is an amazing human being! The house is quite and nice. The room was clean, spacious with a balcony. Shower was good. It’s close to the lake in a quite zone. you can tickets for the shows, have information on things to to and see and transfer services (sarath drive me to sigiryia) I stayed one night, but I regret not staying another day, there is so many things to do in the area.

My room is on the ground floor and has no view. It is locked and it is required to ring the bell and wait for someone to open the gate

Sarath and his family are both professional and friendly. The location is excellent and the rooms great value.

Excellent place to spend a day or two in Kandy. The hotel is well-located in a quiet location near the lake. We had a lovely spacious clean room on the top floor with a large balcony and nice views across the trees towards the lake. Sarath and Nalini who run the hotel really made us feel at home. Nalini cooked us a great curry, while Sarath provided great conversation. The only slight downside was the weak wifi connection on the top floor but it worked in other areas.
