Mountain View Station

Great location, helpful staff and amazing views

We had some foggy days so couldn't enjoy the view. The room however was nice and spacious. It had everything we needed. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and charming. It's an easy walking distance to the city center.

Minor con: Poor isolation so extra blanket is needed in winter :-)

This place is in a good location with great views, the staff helped me book a car and rent a motorbike for the trip, I was very satisfied

We stayed in the family room with mountain views. It was a large room for the price. Location was fine - on the tail end of the hotel strip so quiet and an easy walk to food, central Sapa etc.

It was pretty much closed - reception and restaurant closed and the manager staying offsite (just had to call him for checkout / anything else). Room wasn't as clean as the photos and the cement slab at our door was just that, with weeds, maintenance stuff piled to the side, dirty. Room is down exterior stairs which were dark and a bit of a slog up with luggage. We got him to book us a bus back to Hanoi which was a bad move - I goes we should have been more specific but it ended up a very uncomfortable bus that dropped us at outer station from which we couldn't transit to our destination in time so had to stay a night elsewhere. All good fun but could be a real pain if you're not able to be flexible with your plans. It was also much more expensive than the lovely and convenient buses other hotels booked for us throughout our stay. We did stay an extra night though since the room was fine.

Loved the small homestyle rooms. They were simple but had everything you need when you're only there to sleep. The breakfast with a view was great start to the day. The hosts were very helpful organising transport and when we had to leave before breakfast was served they very kindly provided us with a take away meal. Would definitely stay again.

If you're not a fan of hills you may not like the walk up the hill to the town centre. We didn't find it too bad though.

Very good view, clean room. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They always willing to help book transport anytime.

Great host!

Small home stay with just a few rooms and the small restaurant where you can have dinner and breakfast. We stayed in the family room which had two soft beds and a nice big couch, a terrasse with a view over the mountains. We enjoyed the clean big space (we did ask them to clean up the toilet again when checking in though which was questionable), the kettle and again the couch as it rained a few times. Easy to access a couple of hikes towards Ta Van from there. The family really tries to help you and you can tell want to learn and do a good job. We had dinner twice and although all prices are inflated in SaPa the food was really nice and had nice portions. All in all good stay, recommended outside of the city itself (10 min walk)

When it rained it got very humid in the room, maybe a humidifier would help? (Nothing would dry) Making sure the room really is clean :) although again they did it when asked and then daily cleaned if you wanted. For breakfast you could choose one main and either a smoothie/juice or coffee/tea - the mango smoothie was nice and filling; the soup was a better deal(read bigger) than the eggs which is often the case; pho was fine although could use a bit more flavors :)
