Sapa Orange Homestay

WOW JUST WOW! This was the best stay in our 3 weeks in Vietnam! The location is perfect if you seek a place away from the city, a place that is local and with beautiful nature! This Homestay made us feel at home, and they were all so sweet, and the children so cute, and their dog! The food was AMAZING the best food we have had in all of Vietnam! The family dinner was so nice, and we sat there talking for a long time after dinner. We went trekking, tried the Herbal Bath next door which was a great local experience! Especially this time of year when it can be really cold as it was for us. They helped us with a bus to Laos and picked us up at 4:30 am in SaPa. It was just an amazing stay! 100% recommend and we are looking forward to next time!

If you're looking for an authentic experience, far from all the tourist traps around Sa Pa, this is the place for you. Staying with the family was truly a privilege. It gave us a rare opportunity to step into a world of tradition and culture in the village where Lan, the host, has lived her whole life. We had the chance to visit local homes, see how people live, how they build their houses, grow their own food, and process it using methods passed down for generations. Lan welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived. She was always around to answer our questions and helped us understand both village life and Vietnamese culture in general. Highly recommended.

We experienced the local culture in the best possible way! The lady was very kind and willing to help us with everything! Her cooking is amazing and the trekking tour we did with her was one the best things we did in Vietnam! We totally recommend it!

The best place we stayed in throughout the whole of Vietnam. Away from the city of Sapa and some of the best views imaginable. I fell ill and the owners really looked after me. Provided tiger balm, medicine and also food. Literally helped me in every way. The food they cooked up also 10/10. If you are going to Sapa. This is the place to stay!!

Loved our experience at Sapa Orange Homestay! It was a super authentic, wholesome stay which I recommend to everyone. The host family are lovely and the kids are so cute. We felt very welcome, comfortable and learnt about village life. The food was delicious, fresh and more than enough for all of us. The property was comfy and clean and we loved that it was out of the main Sapa town to get the full mountain experience. The car pickup was convenient and easy. The homestay also organised all our activities, including a herbal bath and a day hike where we didn’t see any other tourists! Super special experience, thank you!!

We would like to sincerely thank the hosts for everything! Shortly after we arrived, my wife suffered from a terrible food poisoning. The whole family took such warm and loving care of her. They constantly looked after her, cooked special meals for her, brought her tea frequently, provided medication, and did all of this without charging us anything! We truly felt like part of the family and would absolutely stay here again—hopefully healthy next time. The surroundings are beautiful, with a wonderful river for swimming. Fresh meals are cooked for the guests three times a day, and everything was absolutely delicious! We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to everyone. We are still very grateful and deeply impressed by the warmth and hospitality of this family.

My friend and I spent an incredible two nights, with the amazing hosts, Lan and Thuan, and their family. Their hospitality was so warm and friendly from the beginning, welcoming us after our long bus ride and drive with open arms and warm tea. We enjoyed a delicious family dinner prepared by Lan and her Mum both nights. There was so much variety, the flavours were delicious, and all of the produce was locally sourced. Lan took us on an adventurous five hour hike to a nearby village, telling us about local ethnic groups, village life, different plants used for cooking and medicine, and introducing us to the local people. The guided hike wasn’t included but was fairly priced and definitely worth doing. Overall, we would highly recommend staying with Lan and Thuan at their homestay. They included us as part of their family and we could have easily stayed for many more nights if we hadn’t pre booked other accommodation. Although their village is slightly further from the main town, there are few tourists, and it is an authentic experience not to be missed!
