Rustle Hill Home Stay-Ella

- Super friendly & helpful host and staff, showing us hidden gems of Ella and helping us staying out of the touristic crowds, incl. small tea manufacturer visit and personal cooking class - Amazing view from the private terrace - Close to start of hike to little adam’s peak and nine arch bridge, so ideal stay to start some beautiful hikes from.

There is some traffic from the stay to the Main Street of Ella, so not ideal for walking to the center. But a tuk tuk is the solution if you don’t feel like walking to/ from the center

The location is ideal and with a beautiful view to pine trees and the mountains. The personal rooms have bed, mosquito net, fan, table and chair, and a hanger on the wall for bags, clothes, towel, etc. It’s basic but convenient. The host is very welcoming and willing to assist. He allowed me to use the kitchen and fridge which was very nice.

The shared bathroom is small. The place has a bar which I wasn’t aware of. I’m personally aversive to environments where there’s alcohol but others probably don’t mind.

The owner and the lady were very nice and they helped me a lot during my stay. I needed plug converter because mine didn’t work, and they lend me. Also I didn’t have any specific plan for Ella but they gave me suggestions. Also very good price for a single room!

Quiet place, have a beer bar downstairs, very close to Ella train bridge

They are doing some renovations (at least they were when I was staying), on Sunday morning at 7am starting to knock down the wall - maybe not the best for guests sleep. Also in real life the entrance looks different, walked right past it

Rooms were very clean, for 3 rooms there was a common toilet. The room was spacious and had a chair and a table in addition to the single bed. The location of the property is walkable from 9arch bridge and lit Adams peak. Plus, the breakfast provided was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. For the price, it's definitely worth.

I found a leech in the bathroom but that's probably due to the rains and greenery around.
