Solitary Resort Ella

We really liked the location. It is a bit out of town but the view and the restaurants nearby are amazing. Also the stuff is super friendly and helpful.

Host was amazing, whenever we needed something he would run like the wind to help us! Great breakfast! Tranquility with the sound of nature while your sitting and enjoying a nice cup of Coffee. Real value for money, Host even organised a Bike for us to use while we were there.

Shower pressure was a little low, I guess thats what it's like being so high up the mountain, at least nice warm water.

Solitary resort is nestled just outside of the center of Ella but has amazing views given it is on a hill. Dileepa is an amazing host. He was so helpful and very responsive and responded whenever I needed anything and helped to organise and even picked up me up from the train station! He also organised a Tuktuk driver for me who was very kind and I would highly recommend using in your time there. As for the facilities, the room is extremely spacious and has everything you need.

The property is up a steep hill. While walking down was absolutely fine - I would recommend getting a tuk tuk back up as the walk is a little tough!

Couldn't describe how satisfied we are with both the host and the stay! One of the best in our 12 day trip.

Very nice and calm place to stay, the meals are really tasty. More than these the owner is very pleasant and polite while talking and taking care us. The room is excellent and very neat and comfortable with all the necessasities. Highly recommend hotel Solitary for a stay and enjoy the holidays.

Beautiful views on the terrace. Very clean and large room. Breakfast is very delicious with a variety of fruits, egs and roties. Breakfast was also quite a lot and kept us full for quite some time. Location is outside of town but is super peaceful and relaxing. Special thanks goes to the incredible host! Such a kind and helpful person! He gave us a free lift to the train station and even made us a lunch pack when our train left very early in the morning. He also offered us a lift to and from Arugambay at better rates than all the other drivers. Incredible hospitality!

My short stay was really good, even though the place is not near the station it has a great view from the terrace, breakfast was cute and tasty, the owner and his family are very nice people and helpful. I walked to the Ella station and the scenery was just amazing!

Amazing room and beautiful location! The family who run the guesthouse are so kind and friendly. Best place I've stayed in Sri Lanka. I would definitely stay again!
