DEVASHOLA HOMESTAY

The property is located in a nice place.

But the locality is so dangerous that nobody mentioned about the elephant attacks or the need to reach the spot before 6 PM. The beds were making lots of noise while we were trying to turn and no stuffs were in the property in case of emergency.

The scenery, natural beauty, awesome forest and plantations around.

Food could have been more high end with more choices courses etc., the building itself was not as per the photographs but more like a shed converted to rooms. Charges were too high for such a building and food.

We had a wonderful time at Devashola. The location and the view is fantastic, with the tea fields, the valley and the mountains and the ups and downs of the mist. The cottages are very comfortable. The food is amazing, home made personally, with great care and love. All the staff was attentive to our needs.

The pictures were different from the reality

The place is inside a tea estate, which is the most intriguing part for which we booked a stay here. And we were not at all disappointed. The staff were attentive to all needs and they cooked regional, home-cooked meals. You can take a walk inside the tea gardens. There are other cottages inside the estate, which are equally and in some cases, even more beautiful. The night views of Kerala on one side and Coimbatore on the other are mesmerizing.

Food was awesome. The caretaker lady was good.

The climate in the month of may and June are not comfortable. It's a bit hot over there. Also they charged from us 500 rupees for just idily vada sambar. I feels its overall overpriced property.
