Krishnayan Heritage

Beautiful heritage hotel in the heart of Gwalior. The family who owns the palace is very friendly and the staff is warm and eager to help. The rooms and bathrooms are huge! It's also nice to have dinner at the hotel — they prepare great home cooked food.

It’s extremely beautiful and a quiet oasis in a busy city. Breakfast was generous. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.

The best homestay experience. Lovely architecture, warm and helpful staff and owner, exceptionally clean. Card payments for accommodation and taxi accepted, which was very useful. Lovely place.

We had a wonderful stay at Krishnayan Heritage Homestay. The owner and staff were very sweet and wonderfully attentive,. When we left we were given a box of traditional Indian sweets as a thank you. Amazing!

It is a small heritage hotel that was refurbished 2/3 years ago. White cotton sheets and some lovely antique furniture. The breakfast was exceptionally good. Quiet at night.

The bedrooms don’t have windows because it’s an old Havelli. It’s a bit difficult to find somewhere to eat dinner.

Beautiful haveli building with large courtyard and massive reception area, both nice places to relax. The room was very comfortable with a huge modern bathroom. Really nice breakfast too with a mixture of fresh fruit, regional items (poha, paratha) and omelette, toast etc. Gwalior is a fascinating city, plus we did a very interesting day trip to Bateshwar and Mitawali temples via Mr Gopal c/o their travel desk. But the best thing about Krishnayan Heritage is the warmth and hospitality that both the staff and owners show to their guests. Highly recommended

Property is tastefully restored portion of an beautiful old haveli.

Room lacked natural light, and the portion of the building being used for guests is partitioned off from the rest of the building in such a way as to not fully leverage the features of the structure (windows to central courtyard blocked for example, with guests having access only to a side alley.

Beautifully restored home with very helpful staff team. Especially Anita who went out of her way to show us some sites. Comfortable rooms nicely decorated.

Our room had a bad smell coming from the drains, I guess quite common in India. Also , our room had no windows so no ventilation.
