We stayed at this property for a night in Nov 2023, and it was really cosy. The traditional bukhari kept us warm. The host Ather was in touch with me since I made the booking a month ago. He helped me with information on the taxi unions, helped with the itinerary to optimize my time in Kashmir valley. Upon his suggestion we visited Dhodhpatri and loved the place. Ather is kind, very proactive and ensures he gives the best experience to the guests. I truly recommend this place to everyone. This is someone's house turned into a homestay and so please do not expect luxury breakfast buffet.

The property is a comfortable and cozy home-stay run by a Kashmiri family who are excellent hosts. We stayed there for 3 nights and during that time, Ather and his family went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Driving us around to pick up dinner, preparing hot kahva multiple times during the day, checking on us to make sure we are warm, arranging extra blankets, hot water bottles, going out in the morning to get Kashmiri bread and croissants for my daughter, sharing their food with us - there were so many instances during our stay where we were left speechless by their warm hospitality. These guys easily put big five star properties to shame just by their veritable “mezbani”.

There’s nothing not to like about the property. Its not a standard hotel or resort, so please don’t expect those luxuries but if you are looking for a comfortable place with great hosts, then this is the place for you. The property is in Kunzer town which is a short 30-40 minute drive from Gulmarg gondola and 15-20 minutes from Drung waterfall - something to keep in mind while planning logistics.
