GBBeautiful, peaceful setting by the lake. It was great laying in the hammock under the veranda watching the wildlife, or just reading my book. We saw kingfishers and a fruit bar that visited us daily. It's a bit far from Allepphy, but a tuktuk can be arranged to pick us up from the house. A tuktuk from Aleppey to Orchid View was 600 rupees.

JPI'm a vegetarian. The food is delicious. They serve the best veggie dishes. Many restaurants use a lot of oil when cooking. But this hotel is different. I go to many Indian restaurants in Japan, but this hotel is definitely the best.

A fair distance from Alleppey but was such a lovely location that we didn’t mind the tuk tuk into town (which owner helped us arrange whenever needed)

GBAmazing place. Incredible views of the lake and very peaceful. Delicious food made at homestay 3 x a day if you need, well priced. It’s a 600 rupee Tuk Tuk out of Alleppey but definitely worth it. Shafir went above and beyond to look after all our needs and made us feel very welcome. He helped organise a well priced boat trip of the backwaters. There’s not much nearby but you don’t need to leave because there’s lots of beautiful places in the garden to relax and food as you need. We extended our stay by a night because we liked it so much.

USINSafi, the manager, was exceptionally helpful and booked a houseboat trip for us including transport by tuk tuk. The location overlooking the lake is exceptional. The home cooked food was very good and they took care of dietary preferences.
We did not realise that the cost did not include taxes.
