Noel's beach homestay

Noel & his parents are very good & humble. We enjoyed the seaview from the private balcony. Rooms were clean.

I would have rated Noel's Homestay 'excellent' for his behavior, prompt service and providing clean rooms to guests but unfortunately I cannot. Here is why: 1. When we booked two rooms through booking.com, it wasn't mentioned that an advance of Rs. 500/- needs to be paid as confirmation of reservation. This was informed to us by the owner only after booking. Just Rs. 500/- is a very nominal amount but it shows a lack of transparency on the owner's part. 2. Secondly, on booking.com website it is mentioned that 30 mins massage is included in the amenities. However later we were informed that it is applicable only if we pay for one hour massage. 3. This is not a complaint but a suggestion. Kettle is not provided in the room which is a common amenity nowadays in both hotels and homestays. 4. The tariff was a little bit higher as compared to the facilities provided by other homestays.

Very near to beach.. Hosts wer very cooperative.. Aunty's puttu was good.. Stay was pretty good.

Noel, his mum, dad and granny were such kind and accommodating hosts. Noel very kindly took me to an ATM to pay for stay as they don’t take card payments. They cooked breakfast specifically for us as we weren’t used to spicy food. The garden is a lovely place to sit. There’s a small shop just over the road. It’s a quiet location.

Whilst the hosts are super lovely, I don’t think this property justifies it exceptional rating. There is no hot water in the shower - bizarrely there is a hot water tap in the bathroom, but it is low down, with no mixed tap and rediculously hot water- so essentially unusable. I don’t understand if they have hot water why they don’t plumb it to the shower. The accomodation isn’t beachfront- it’s across the road and there is another row of houses on that side of the road. There was only one pillow case on the pillows and we noticed the pillow was moldy one night. There was no top sheet on the bed - just a sheet on the bed and a blanket. The room was quite small. At breakfast we were given a box of tissues that was really dirty with bits of hair stuck to it and there was a bit of plastic with a number written on it in the omelette (maybe from the bread bag tie?)

The family was very friendly. Had a very good experience with them.

The rooms we booked were a little small however it was still comfortable.

Food was really excellent homely food .

Good kinded family , taking care for child also. Excellent food, rooms very clean and neat. Location was excellent.

Ok within the budget, accessible to beach. Noel seems helpful guy.
