The room was beautiful with a stunning and you can wake up in the morning and see the sunrise over the knuckles mountains from your bed! Ruwan the host , goes above and beyond to make you feel at home , how is so informative and enjoys engaging with guests ! The food, the location, the facilities, everything was stellar!

clean & comfortable rooms, such a nice host, great views, delicious food, very close to cultural highlights. We felt like home within minutes, enjoyed talks with Ruwan very much who also helped us to organize tours and transport. Highly recommended

The room was spacious, tidy and the bed is big and super comfortable. The views from the glass wall are stunning and Ruwan's hospitality goes way beyond standards, making you feel at home away from home. He will take the best care of you and help you in any single thing you may need during your stay. He even showed me their fields around the property were they grow all the veggies and fruits served in the meals. Both the homemade breakfast and dinners served at Ridge Boundary View are delicious and a perfect way to try authentic Sri Lankan food. Definitely a place I'll recommend if you want to be in a peaceful and beautiful place enjoying real Sri Lanka.

We loved everything! A little heaven.. If we could put more than 10 out of 10 we would do it. Ruwan is an amazing host, genuine in getting to know people from the world, and very interesting as he is very educated. We loved the breakfasts and dinners on the terrace (special well done to his wife for this amazing cuisine), with a peaceful view on the rice fields… we got the chance to also visit the farm with his lands and the ones from his family. He gave us a lot of advices, and also told us how to take the bus, which is an amazing experience. You can reach the Golden Temple by bus in 15min; Sirigiya is further away but we enjoyed staying far from the touristic area. We would never say enough thank you these 2 full days!

We had a gorgeous time at Ruwan’s place. He is super accommodating, friendly, helpful and nice! The rooms are wonderful, quiet, with amazing views and very comfortable. Breakfast, lunch, dinner can be had there and it’s lovely! Highly recommended :)

Fantastic stay at Ridge Boundary View! Ruwan (host) was friendly, helpful and hospitable and couldn't do enough for us. The location is ideal if you don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle of Dambulla. You can easily get a tuk tuk from the main road to the property to get into Dambulla and beyond. Dinner and breakfast was exceptional and really good value for money. There aren't any restaurants nearby. The bedroom was spacious and clean with an incredible view of the knuckles. The stay had a homely feel and doing a tour of Ruwan's farm was informative and enjoyable. Would highly recommend staying here if you want a homely, peaceful experience with incredible views! The logistics couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the main road connects you to public buses that run every few min and can take you anywhere you need. Whether you're heading to Dambulla, Sigiriya, or beyond, getting around is effortless and budget-friendly. What truly sets this place apart, though, is Ruwan, the host. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. His hospitality is unparalleled—he doesn’t just take care of his guests, he anticipates their needs. Whether it was helping us plan our day, organizing transportation, or sharing local tips, Ruwan was always there to make everything easy and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was a guided walk with Ruwan around the local area. As he shared stories and introduced us to native plants, we felt like we were experiencing a side of Sri Lanka that most visitors miss. And then there’s the homestay itself. The view from our window was magical—we were waking up to stunning sunrises. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Every meal was a feast of fresh, home-cooked goodness, bursting with authentic flavors. Sitting down to enjoy meals prepared with so much care felt special. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience, a home away from home, and a gateway to discovering the beauty of Sigiriya and Dambulla. We arrived in Dambulla on a very rainy day and were welcomed warmly by Ruwan and his family. He offered us a cup of tea and then took us on a local agricultural tour where he showed us around his town and taught us about local plants. In the dinner we cooked with his father and wife and learnt about Sri Lankan food. It was very fun and the meal was delicious! It felt like staying at home and like we had a second home away from our own. The accommodation has a lovely view on the rice fields. It is simple but clean and comfortable. I totally commend coming to this place if you want to experience a local and genuine family! If you just want a bed without interaction with locals it is probably not the place for you. Breakfast was super filling, varied and delicious and so was dinner. I totally recommend to have dinner there, it's all fresh from the backyard. We would totally come back :)

-We had some humidity problems in the room due to the heavy showers and had some water leakage in the room. Ruwan was very helpful and offered to try our clothes that got wet.

The stay was great for us to visit rural Sri Lanka while traveling through the country, Ruwan was a great host taking care of all our needs and taking us on an agricultural tour as a local teaching about the village and all the plants, fruits found in Sri Lankan wilderness. As well as we went for a swim in Mahaweli river! Room is very clean and modern, we had also dinner and breakfast at the stay which was great, trying the local organic food we were introduced to earlier. Ruwan was very accomodating for all our needs during our trip
