Staying here was wonderful. Nuwar's hospitality was truly extraordinary. We had many pleasant conversations with him and he was very careful and present everyday but always with great respect for privacy. He gave us lots of useful advice and constant small gestures of hospitality, as well as taking us on a beautiful tour of the surrounding farm area. He also arranged for us to go on a wonderful safari with an excellent guide. The hotel has a perfect location, close to Dambulla and just a few metres from the main road where you can easily catch a bus or tuk tuk. Clean rooms with great views of nature. Thank you Nuwar for making our trip even more magical.

An absolutely outstanding stay on a peaceful and familiar place. The host and his family is so kindly helpful and provide us with a lot of interesting information about the country, culture and things to do. We loved the discussions with him and took the chance to learn about the Srilankian kitchen during common cooking of the delicious food with him and his family. His home is so lovely and well thought out, outstanding. Thanks to our new friend Ruwan ♥️

Best place where I stayed in Sri Lanka ! Amazing view with biiiig windows to enjoy from the room. Clean room..very close to bus station, droping you anywhere you want. Peaceful in the middle of nature and farm. You can come and do some cooking with the family. Very helpful host. I would not consider any other place else aroung Sigiroya and Dambulla. 2 nights or 3 nights. Amazing experience.

My wife and I have stayed in over 15 hotels in Sri Lanka. This place is one of the best for us. Beautiful nature around, where you can walk along rice fields and banana plantations. We had a very nice room with a high ceiling, a balcony, huge floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic view of the mountains. You don’t have to get out of bed to see the sunrise over the mountains. There is a table in the room and on the veranda to work on the computer. There is hot water, although this is often a problem in Sri Lanka. We highly appreciated the delicious breakfasts and dinners. The owner Ruwan introduced us to such delights of Sri Lankan cuisine that we did not know about. Much of what we ate is grown near the hotel. And of course I would like to say that Ruwan is a wonderful host, a very kind and attentive person. He is always ready to help in any situation. In addition, he has a university education and can tell you a lot of interesting things about Sri Lanka, suggest what to see in the area. For example, thanks to his advice we saw a small temple in the rock, where it was quiet and calm. No crowds of tourists. We spent 7 days here. We will definitely come back again, but this time we will stay at least 10 days.

The weather

Ruwan and his familiy are really welcoming. It was great to make a tour around the village and countryside and learn more about the Sri Lankan nature. We had a great time and enjoyed the delicious food.

Ruwan is the nicest owner we've met during our trip. As he says it himself, it's not only a bed and a bathroom. He delivers a nice experience, meeting his family and walking with Ruwan through the area and getting info about all the plants and vegetables that grow there. We got a very delicious, home cooked dinner and breakfast. We stayed here for 2 nights, and visited the cave temple in Dambulla.

The place is nice, clean, hot water and working AC. The dinner was delicious (cost 6$ per person). The included breakfast was also very good, though I liked it more in other places but that's just me be I'm not a fan of coconuts. The host took me for a walk around the area which was very nice. Note that it's super remote so you should have a vehicle if you want to stay there

There were no bottles of water in the room like in other places we stayed, and we got a bottle of water during the meals and then at the end the host charged us separately for the water. I don't mind the money, it's a small amount, but it gave me a bad feeling because he naver said that water is not included in meals that include everything else (he also didn't tell us the price of the dinner beforehand, which I didn't mind too much because the price is completely fair, but would have been nice to know, though I could have also asked). Then he was really pushy about us leaving a review, and I actually tried but there was some connection issue that didn't let me and he kept texting me about it and I think I have the right to write or not write a review as I wish and I shouldn't be forced to do so. It's a nice place and the host is nice, but those things actually made me feel uncomfortable for a few days to follow, which shouldn't be a case for a one night stay.
