okay where do you start? Ruwan is an exceptional host, he is engaging and passionate. in the morning he offered to show us his land. Do not miss this opportunity you will learn so so much and there no hard sell at the end of it, actually he’s trying to sell you nothing, he just wants you to understand that his country is more than just the beaches. The room was spacious and lovely and has a genius floor arrangement in the bathroom. there’s a wonderful terrace with a stunning view and a large table at a height you can work at (important for us)…..and the WiFi is good. if you go, and you must go,your host may also cook you the most amazing dinner of fresh food from his land. well priced and would get a mitchellin star in a restaurant at home. there is a bus stop at the end of the road for busses to Dambulla and Kandy. all in all sorry we were only here for one night

What a stay. Ruwan very attentive from booking and throughout which I was very thankful for. His beautiful family/ village make it even better. Initially booked 2 nights but turned into 4 as activities arranged from there and just so nice to chill with view and nature. Lovely meals (go hungry) and nice aesthetics.

Did find Pick me and Uber would not accept journeys. For short distances Ruwan able to arrange.

We stayed there for 4 nights. The view was amazing you can see the sunrise directly from bed. The room is super clean and really nice. The host Ruwan is an amazing human being. He cooks dinners for you that are delicious 😋.We can only recommend it.

Farm to table experience with the fine hosting by Ruwan and his family. Every day a fresh fruit juice from a fruit tree nearby. My food was picked fresh each day right from their own or a neighboring farm, and prepared to my spice level (zero) and the room was simply spectacular. I came for the view but left with new friends plus the deep peace I’d been longing for. Ruwan even walked me through his village and told me about its history and how they work together for the common good. It was truly an experience with real people in Sri Lanka I will never forget.

This place is THE BEST! Don’t doubt just book :). The area is amazing and the Family is the kindest. You will stay right in the middle of a real Sri lankan farm. It is quite, nature is all around and Ruwan will make time for you to show the surrounding land. You Will meet other farm people that live there. Ruwan is amazing and his Family also! We can’t discribe how lovely this place is. The food they made for dinner and beakfast was sooo good! The room is amazing. You Will have a beautiful clean room with a big window so you can see the land from your room. It is really as amazing as on the pictures and Ruwan and his Family make it even more special.. thank you Ruwan for the beautiful soul you have and everything you shared with us. You now really have 2 Belgium friends and we will keep in touch. Thank everyone for us that made us feel so welcome!

The place was just so beautiful. The view was very nice. The room with the big window and a very nice detailed bathroom. Wow. We really loved the very clean room, with all the small details. The host has a good eye for details, even his own logo in some of the woodenstuff. The bed was a dream and everything there was so new. We loved the sounds of the nature. Totally local. But still It was not far from Dambulla (cave temple). The host was so nice and friendly. We talked a lot, had fun and he was very helpful. The food was also delicious and typical Sri lankan. So we tasted a lot of different vegetables, some we did not knew before. And the best, everything was from his farm. So fresh, so yummie. It was one of our best homestays and we would go there again and again.

Beautiful view, gracious host who provided dinner, breakfast, and a lovely conversation, plus a tour of the nearby village with beautiful PEACOCKS!

Everything was perfect. From the room, the view, the complimentary dinner and breakfast, to the most amazing host Ruwan and his family. Whenever I come back to Sri Lanka, I will definitely go there again!! ps: set an alarm for sunrise, it’s absolutely worth it!
