The Green Jungle

Accueil exceptionnel, et rapport qualité/prix imbattable. Nuwan a été comme un guide avec nous, il nous a proposé de nombreuses activités sans jamais insister, et a organisé nos déplacements lors qu'il ne pouvait pas nous y conduire. Il nous a emmené voir un point de vue pour le coucher du soleil oú il n'y avait aucun touriste, et nous avons aussi pu faire du vélo. Il nous a également donné beaucoup de conseils pour ne pas nous faire arnaquer. L'hôtel est un peu excentré, mais vous avez de nombreux restaurants autour et vous pouvez également manger sur place. Nuwan nous a préparé de très bons repas, autant pour le petit déjeuner que pour le dîner. La chambre était juste comme il faut avec de l'espace pour mettre les valises, chambre propre, ventilateur. Nous avons eu une excellente expérience dans cette hôtel, que nous recommandons vivement. Petit point bonus, Nuwan parle très bien anglais et saura répondre à toutes vos questions

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und nett. Wir sollten uns wie zur Familie zugehörig fühlen. Das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen waren leckere Hausmannskost. Sehr zu empfehlen. Er organisierte einen Jeep für den ganzen Tag, der uns zum Pidurangale Felsen und zur Safari in den Kaudulla Nationalpark fuhr (120USD p.P.). Besonders gefallen haben uns die kostenlosen Abendtouren des Gastgebers mit seinem tuktuk zu den Sonnenuntergang auf seiner Stuba und zur Vogelbeobachtung von hunderten Flughunden.

The Green jungle was a great place for our one-night stay with family and a friend. The room was super clean and we were able to check in very late which was great.

Everything was good but please note that there is no AC in the room.

The green jungle provides peaceful accomodation in beautiful jungle garden. Host Nuwan is very kind and very helpful and treated us like family. They helped us to arrange every trip, picked us up at bus stop or drove us to and from see sights. Nuwan's wife prepared for us delicious and clean homemade food. We definitely recommend this this accomodation.

The host was an enormous help, he organized someone to pick us up in the middle of the night (3am) from the airport. He also drove us to every activities and offered numerous tipps for things to do. And the homestyle cooking was amazing!

There were only windows in the front, so there was no real air circulation by only opening the windows. We talked with him about it and he want to fix it by adding hinges to the window in the back. But he provided fans which did the trick.

Clean and spacious room with modern bathroom. Owner 24 hour ready to help. Very kind and helpful his family members. Greeny garden. Like little jungle. Very tasty foods. Breakfast are big and tasty. Dinner was very delicious. They made food just for us. I recommend dinner for our green jungle hotel. Tours value for money. Middle of the sigiriya and Dambulla caves. Highly recommend this place.

Habitació espaiosa i molt neta. El Nuwan i la seva família ens van oferir un tracte immillorable, molt proper i sempre pendents dels detalls. Ens van donar tota mena de consells i ens va portar a veure la posta de sol a un lloc especial. També ens va organitzar el safari amb un conductor agradable i respectuós amb els animals. L’esmorzar molt complet i recomano que us quedeu a sopar, doncs tot el que ens van preparar era boníssim. Molt bona qualitat-preu. Gràcies per tot!

Me encantó la hospitalidad de la familia y Nuwan. En todo momento atentos por hacer nuestra estancia lo mejor posible. Tuvieron el detallazo de decorarnos la habitación por nuestro aniversario. La comida, sobre todo la cena, buenísima! Muy recomendado cenar ahí todos los días. No vas a encontrar mejor comida local. Si necesitas recomendaciones buenas de las actividades también te ayudan. Si necesitas un tuk tuk te proporcionan los viajes que necesites. También tienen bicicletas si quieres hacer uso de ellas.

Es un “guest-house” que poco a poco se está desarrollando hacia concepto de habitación de hotel. Va en muy buen camino! Pequeños detalles como aire acondicionado para las épocas de más calor, neverita o mejor calidad de almohadas, toallas y sábanas harán que sea un lugar excelente. Pero para el precio que tiene ahora está perfecto. Muy buena calidad-precio. En cuanto haga los pequeños upgrades estará en otra liga :)

The owners are extremely hospitable, always ready to help with everything, told us about places in the area and what to avoid. We were there for two days. The place is very good for sleeping during bagpacking trips. Very warm inside at night but there are two fans. Very clean, no bugs inside. Breakfast good, very punctual. The owners can also prepare lunch or dinner for you which we recommend taking advantage of, as this unique local dish was very tasty. Be ready for visits from peacocks, parrots and squirrels in the morning in the garden! Pure nature in Green Jungle!

It was a perfect stay for three days :) They organized a taxi from the airport to their beautiful homestay. The location in the green jungle is a great starting point for many attractions in the area. If you want to do tours, hikes, or visit temples, you’ll get help and transportation from the host. You will be served a nice breakfast on your terrace, and dinner is also available if you wish. All in all, it was an easy and pleasant stay.
