The location is great, lovely big terrace to sit outside, we had a cool breeze most of the time, it’s a short walk to the canal then it’s a nice walk along the canal through some farms and to a village. You can also walk the 4k to the cave temple along this route. Food that we ate was delicious and typical Sri Lankan. The hosts are incredibly interesting having had fascinating careers and are now a large part of the community. We loved the 3 nights that we spent with this family and the people that we met while staying with them.🙏🏾

We arrived with no expectations but were absolutely blown away at every step of our stay! The family welcomed us with open arms, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality and kindness were truly exceptional. The house itself is beautiful, thoughtfully designed by the father of the family. With high ceilings, it stays cool even in the heat, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are lovely, well-maintained, and equipped with great amenities. The food was another highlight—both breakfast and dinner were delicious, homemade, and full of flavor. The quality and generosity make this an incredible value for money. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend staying here!

Right Next to Dambulu Oya bus stop, this home stay is in a chilled quiet hood. There are a few shops around, and a river where you can swim. The room was so cozy and clean, I slept like a baby. Good mattres 😊. But the best is the family. They take a lot of care of the guests, always helpful. They're so wise. There's always a nice chat to have with them. Also Tom, the cat, he's lovely. Me-ow, my friend 🥰 And about the cooking, it's absolutely amazing. Best meals I had in Sri Lanka. They cook with love, and you can taste it. Don't miss breakfast and dinner here. After a month in many different stays, I know that whenever I come back to Sri Lanka, I will stop here. Thank you for your care.

Good sized room and facilities. Clean and comfortable. Easy bus connections into town and onward journeys. A very nice, friendly, welcoming and attentive family in a nice traditional home. Easy access to some lovely walks in the area of the main road. Ordered dinner every evening and the food was tasty, fresh, well cooked and varied. Enjoyed my conversations about cooking and ingredients used. Thank you for a lovely stay and enjoy highly recommend. Excellent value.

Good location. The owner really helpful , gave suggestions for our travelling to Ella. The room is clean. Good warm water shower, airy room. Provide ironing board. Thank you very much.

Maybe need to replace the mattress spring, not in good shape.

The family is awesome, they are really generous and whole hearted. The price is too little compare to what they share. I'm really grateful for the conversations and their care

Amazing architecture and location. Felt very special to be welcomed into this family home. They are warm welcoming people, food is very tasty and we had great chats and played music in the evening. There is a back street through the farm land that is worth taking to get to the cave temples. It was like a free walking safari! Catching a bus there is lots of fun - just ask to jump off a bit after Dambulla at the junction.

We don' t like and very bad service we are first booking but we are the local Gates if after the booking foreigners gave to our room it if us dont room and we are face to very bad problem...😥😥😥😥

Wonderful homestay with the most helpful, welcoming host family! We loved chatting, learning more about Sri Lanka and enjoying amazing food together. And there were monkeys and squirrels in the trees outside to entertain us in the mornings!
