Lake Wind

This was my most welcoming and comfortable stay I have been at in Sri Lanka. Gaminij and his wife really went out of their way to accomodate us in every way possible. They were always available for questions, rides, good advice, and lots of good food. The place is beautiful, sweet and cozy, perfect for a calm and relaxed stay. I cannot recommend it enough.

Ein wunderschönes Fleckchen inmitten der Natur mit viel Liebe errichtet. Ein gemütliches sauberes Zimmer, eine schöne Terasse und verschiedene Sitzplätze im Garten immer mit Blick auf den See. So viele kleine Details, die einfach schön, praktisch und gemütlich sind. Sehr herzliche Gastgeber, die alle Wünsche erfüllen und gute Tipps für die Reiseplanung haben. Und das Essen (Frühstück als auch Dinner) ist sehr sehr lecker und reichhaltig für einen sehr fairen Preis. Wer die Sri Lanka Küche möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir würden immer wieder hierher kommen.

Nur das WLAN könnte besser sein, sonst war alles perfekt.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Lake Wind. Gamini and his wife went above and beyond with their hospitality, from the delicious dinner to their help in arranging local excursions, everything was handled with such care. What made my experience even more special was their genuine kindness. We loved our conversations with them about Sri Lanka, our own countries, families, and so many other topics. It felt less like staying at a guesthouse and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. I can’t recommend it highly enough and would love to return again in the future. Thank you for making my time so memorable!

We had an extremely great time at Lake Wind Homestay. The owners gave us the warmest welcome and showed incredible hospitality throughout our whole stay. The breakfast was absolutely incredible, such as the dinner options which are delicious, abundant and at fair prices. The homestay is very clean, comfortable, and well equipped (AC, hot water, mosquito net, shared fridge and kettle). The environment is peaceful and beautiful; we spent quite some time observing the diverse wildlife roaming around the lake. The owners have thorough knowledge of the region, and good contacts for (cheap) safaris and scooter rental. They were very helpful on many levels, and even drove us to the bus stop at the end of our stay. We definitely recommend staying at Lake Wind Homestay. We had originally booked 2 nights and ended up extending one more. Our stay was an amazing local life experience, and one of the highlights of our trip!

Ооо, я счастлива, что выбрала этот гостевой дом. Это прекрасное, тихое место у озера. Гуляют павлины во дворе. Номер с отдельным входом и террасой, очень чисто, всё отлично работает. Хозяева очень и очень прекрасные, дружелюбные. Еда чудесная ,завтрак накрыли в домике на дереве. Хозяин организовал две отличные экскурсии В дорогу получила большой кокос в подарок.Я очень счастлива. Если бы можно было я бы поставила 100 звёзд!!! Рекомендую для всех кто любит комфорт,уют, релакс на природе. Удачи этому дому!!!

Heel mooie en nette kamer, heel ruim en van alle nodige faciliteiten voorzien. De locatie is perfect om alle bezienswaardigheden in de streek te verkennen. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en lekker, en je kunt het genieten in een kleine boomhut met uitzicht over het meer.

Everything is perfect

This is an exceptional place to stay. Run by a beautiful family who are so eager to please. Their food is delicious. The setting is lovely and if interested one can do a cheap tour with them to sights.
