Victorian Police Station - flexible suite, self contained

lovely with everything I needed to hand, comfortable

Everything about our stay was excellent from the accommodation, parking and Ziggy the exceptionally friendly host. The self contained suite was beautifully decorated, welcoming and fully equipped. An added bonus was the local pub 'The Bell'. We will definitely return.

The breakfast was basic but fine, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and met the owner a couple of times. It suited us because there was parking and it was virtually in the centre of the town. Very easy to find. We saw it as a work in progress and wish them well in the continuing task

We don't think there was anything we would have changed. The bed was comfortable and we were warm.

There is nothing to dislike at The old police station. Ziggy is the best host ever. At first you will have a tour of the property and divulge into the history of the place. The room has everything, from the self contained kitchen with all the facilities like,kettle fridge and microwave. The bathroom is plenty big enough and the shower hot and powerful. Breakfast items like cereals and croissants with fresh milk are provided. The room is lovely and warm and the bed super comfy. I will definitely be staying at this property again without a doubt. The place is an absolute bargain and even has free parking, it would put a lot of Hotels to shame .

Beautifully decorated apartment in a lovely town. It was so nice to meet Ziggy. He is such a nice man. And we loved chatting to him. We would love to return someday.

Very helpful host with good pre briefing. Clean and comfy little apartment. Nice to have breakfast materials supplied with a fridge and microwave too. Useful desk to work at for business travellers. Incredible value at £65-70.

The parking around the back is really tight and quite tricky so not ideal for anyone with a very big car or unconfident driver.

I was allocated a self contained apartment. It was beautifully appointed and thoughtfully equipped. I cannot recall staying at a better place. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Lovely welcome. Good mattress & blackout blinds. Great shower. All we needed for snacks (fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle) & offer of using their kitchen on request. Cats kept their distance but soon warmed to us. Gorgeous view of the sunset, and the castle if you sit right in the corner of the bedroom. Great concern to get in breakfast options for my dietary requirements. Ziggy was really attentive and informative.

Not much to say... Dining area was a little dark, but it's a beautifully restored old building, we loved being shown round the police cells!
