Pinthu Home Stay

All around great homestay with fabulous hosts. Pinthu and his wife Nadica strive to take great care of you. The elephant tour he took us on was great - at a fraction of the costs of the other agencies. The home cooked meal to our liking was delicious. The room was clean and comfy and the location was very good! He organized everything for us, so it was a seamless experience, which was great!

I think one small suggestion would be to explain costs to guests along the way. Overall the rates were fair, but we would have liked to know where we were at with respect to rates for tuk tuk drives and the meals provided!

We were greeted by a nice couple, quickly check in the room and offered tea, it was very nice! The room is comfortable, clean, everything you need is in the room. The owner offered to take us to Pidurangala Rock in the morning for a small fee and at 4:30 am we went to the mountain to climb and see the sunrise, it was most definitely worth it. Also, the owner took us back to the guesthouse and his wife made us a delicious breakfast. I recommend this guesthouse and once again a big thank you to the owners.

It was my dream to stay in a tree house, and my dream came true! The room had a hot shower and A/C, and clean bathroom. Also the owners were very kind to me, the breakfast and welcome snack was delicious

Wished free wifi was available all the time (I had to ask the owner for hot spot)

Very welcoming and fun. It was a very pleasant stay. We have very good memories. The location of the house is excellent and the treatment there is.

I have booked the room and we got it for very affordable price. The room had little bit of dampen smell but the location is wet so we expected the smell. The restroom and room is very clean. tasty breakfast. Less than 2 kms from sigirya. we took 30 minutes more than the checkout time and owner didn't asked for extra or even did not pressure us to leave on time. Very kind, friendly and polite people.

Adding a WIfi would have increased the value of the room

The homestay is nice and the owners are very kind. The husband brought us at 5 am to the Pidurangala entrance. Breakfast is so good, I loved it! The location is perfect if you want to hike Lion Rock or Pidurangala Rock and there are also many restaurants and bars at walking distance. Make sure to bring mosquito spray cause in Sigiriya there's plenty of them.

Sweet owner. Basic room with fan. Excellent breakfast. For this cheap price, it’s definitely worth it to visit if you travel on a budget. Close to the Pidurangala rock, perfect to watch sunrise!
