Pinthu Home Stay

Good Location, nice breakfast, everything we needed, tuk tuk safari was very good we got to see elephants up close, Pinthu was helpful with helping us get around the area and what there was to see and do around Sri Lanka

Even with a fan the room was quite warm but that's it

Nice host, he's a good person. Instead of paying for a ticket for the national park he will offer to drive you around the local roads on the search for an elephant at a cost.The air con is good.

Ensure to check prices as you go as he doesn't always remember to tell you the cost before and can come as a surprise at the end. No Internet and so had to use my own sim which was patchy signal.

an incredible place with incredible people. The tree house is a perfect place. it's very clean and the shower water is hot. the owners are very nice. We feel like home. the owner took me in a tuktuk to see the elephants on the side of the road. I slept 2 nights and had 2 good lunches. the owner can take you anywhere with the tuktuk. Look no further and book

Everything perfect

The owner were friendly and welcomed us warmly. The owner and his wife made us comfortable and treated us almost like friends and not tourists. Taught us how to save money on activities and also told us where to find the local delicacies without spending much. They also arranged for a tuktuk safari of the nearby Hurulu national park and we watched amazing herds of wild elephants up close. As they know where to find the elephants without actually entering the park, we could skip the costly park tickets while enjoying more of the view than those expensive jeep safaris. The owner, brother Pinthu, honest, hard working guy gave us 2 days of unlimited fun without costing us a fortune because we are backpackers. This homestay is highly recommended to people who want to see the world without paying for luxury. We strongly recommend them and will go back to this homestay next year.

Really good price and really good location.

The owner tried to guilt us into giving him a good review even though he was quite rude to one of us. Even though the room was clean when we arrived, there was a bad smell from the surrounding area that made it uncomfortable to be in the room.
