The breakfast was superb, & they served as per your convenience To all this was an amazing experience.

Stayed in the fan only room and it was very good value for money. The breakfast was really nice and plentiful, some of the best breakfast we have had in whole of Sri Lanka and was different for both days.

Washing service was strange - charged per item of clothing no matter the weight, would have been a lot better just to charge for a full load as it all went in one machine (that was in our bathroom). We also had to hang out and take in the laundry ourselves so it seemed expensive for the service. Bathroom needs a deep clean. Loads of flies around, although a net is probided it’s still very annoying especially when eating.

Very hospitable hosts. They really went out of their way to make me feel happy with the stay. I stayed in both the downstairs room and the treehouse. The downstairs room I've detailed below. The treehouse was a lot better. It has a normal mattress. The AC requires a magic spell of some kind from Pinthu's wife to make it work. The main issue with this room is that the bathroom doesn't drain. The drain has been installed at the top of the fall of the shower so it leaves a pool of water 1-2cm deep. Breakfast was nice.

The downstairs room has a bad mattress that I couldn't sleep comfortably in. It's two 2 inch thick mattresses stacked together. Pinthu knows he needs to replace it and it sounds like it's on his todo list. Otherwise the room is fine.

I liked the tree house and the location is perfect for sight seeing. For the amount of money I paid, it was good quality. The bathroom drainage should be fixed. The room was neat and clean. The wifi was working fine and the host was responsive to my calls.

The host was insistent of giving a rating of 10 almost every five minutes. He guilt tripped me into giving a 10 based on his health condition. He was very much insistent on using his tuk tuk service for sightseeing. Although the price he provided was reasonable, I believe he changes the price based on the person taking the ride (another person who stayed there paid only half of what I did). He charged me 2000 Rs for a trip to and fro Lion Rock; 2000 Rs for Pidhurangala rock; 4000 Rs for Dambulla; 9000 Rs for the tuk tuk safari (basically a tuk tuk ride of 40 minutes along a highway). After insisting several times, he privately told me the charges and not in front of his other guests. All this along with the fact that I am a foreign solo traveler made me believe that he is ripping me off. I was wary throughout my stay there. He was also ride to my driver who was ready to take me to Colombo at a cheaper rate than he could offer.

Incredibly good value for money. The room was lovely and spacious room with an ensuite bathroom, we even had our own laundry machine. The breakfast was simple, yet delicious (pancakes with treacle honey, water melon and tea). Pinthu and his wife offer a range of extra services which made our stay very convenient. That included tuktuk and scooter rental as well as taxi services. With regards to the very reasonable room rate and the efforts the two make, we considered the extra rupee very well spent. The property itself sits in the most favourable location in between of the touristic highlights of Sigiriya and its surroundings such as the Lion‘s Rock, Pidurangala (each a 5-10min tuktuk or scooter ride away) and also the Cave Temple for a half day trip to Dambulla. Overall we enjoyed our stay (2 nights) in Pinthu‘s Homestay a lot. Thanks very much for having us.

Nice tree house with good price. The owner offered me Pidurangala for sunrise and elephant tour by tuktuk which is cheaper than usual. Breakfast is so nice as well.

The drainage in the bathroom isn’t good.

The hosts are super nice, they even took us on a tuk tuk elephant tour for a very cheap price and we got to see lots of elephants. Great local breakfast as well!

Very kind host with his wife running their small business. We've been here for one night and had a great time. They do laundry too
