Sigiri Anu Homestay

Anu and his family made us feel at home from the moment we stepped in. De room is spacious and has a very nice terrace in front. Anu took us to a gorgeous sunset point the first night and helped us arrange scooters to discover the area. The breakfast is amazing, we really liked the diversity of local dishes/snacks. There is only a few restaurants nearby but that’s no problem at all because we had dinner at the place twice. It’s delicious and super affordable!

Anu has to be one of the best hosts, nothing was too much trouble and he was always happy to help. Anu has a tuk tuk and will take you into town and back and also any excursion you would like to do. The breakfast was good and we also had an evening meal cooked by his wife which was also good. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you Anu for a great stay.

What a lovely stay! The whole family is so kind and helpfull. The room is big and very clean. Breakfast was yummy! Everything homemade and made with love. Location is great, just 10-15 minutes walking from the main entrance of Lion Rock. The owner Anu has his own tuk tuk and do trips and excursions around the area. He will give you a lot of great tips, what to do etc. Also, they can prepare a dinner for you with reasonable price. Thank you Anu for everything!

We had an amazing stay at the Homestay of Anu and his family. The breakfasts and dinners were amazing and he took care of us like family. During night time, it is dangerous with elephants in the streets, so he brought us to the restaurant street. In the morning he brought us to the Lion Rock and even waited for us to pick us up. Anu it was very nice meeting you and your family, you made our stay in Sigiriya unforgettable!!

The house is beautiful, surrounded by palm trees and has a nice terrace where you can sit and eat. It is located at the beginning of Sirigiya, about 15min walking to the main area (lions rock, restaurants). There are some restaurants close by, but we recommend the host’s homemade food - it’s amazing!

The WiFi and the network over there is a bit unreliable, but this might have been a temporary problem.

I really liked staying here. The host Anu is very welcoming and is trying his best to make you feel comfortable. He can show you around in his tuctuc if you would like. I didn’t have he opportunity as it was raining, but he gave me a ride to Sigiriya rock. In case you would like to eat at the home stay the food is traditional but super tasty - (not spicy if you want to!) Anu is also doing wood carving and his work is very beautiful. I really recommend to stay at this home stay and support the locals.

We had a great stay in Sigiri Anu Homestay. Anu is such a kind and nice person. The homestay is very clean and the breakfast so delicious. The woodwork of Anu is also very impressive. Some day we will come back, hopefully with children, like Anu said. Thank you Anu and all the best for you.

I would give a 12/10 if I could! This is one of the best places we have stayed in like ever! Anu is so friendly, it's beyond words. His wife cooks the best food, and he showed us around places in Sigiriya including an amazing sunset spot. We even learned a bit how to do wood carving! The room is spacious, super clean and the beds are very comfy. Nice hot shower too! We cannot put to words how amazing this stay is!

Anu was the perfect host. The nicest person we met in Sri Lanka. He helped us with our tuktuk and to set up a safari. The breakfasts were the best we had in our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka, we were sad that we didnt sign up for the dinners. He even gave us a tour of his favorite places around the city. He also has the cutest dog. True hospitality. Thank you Anu!!

There were some bugs in the room but it did not take away from our experience

Can really recommend this accommodation. Anu is a really good person who tries to make the stay as nice as possible. He shows you with his TukTuk Sigiriya and the surroundings, which you would never explore yourself. The room is nice and tidy and the food you can order is always very tasty.
