Sigiri Anu Homestay

We had fantastic days in Anu's homestay. The room is very spacious, the beds and the pillows are super comfortable, the bathroom is huge, and everything was spotlessly clean. Anu and his family are really exeptional hosts. Anu showed us a lot of places in and around Sigiria and explained about nature, life in Sri Lanka, history, and buddism. He drove us to the Dambulla cave temple and dropped us at 5 am at the entrance to the Lion's rock. He was always available for us. He even let us drove his Tuktuk. Anu is an amazing person, so helpful, friendly, and cordial. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were very tasty and large portions. Thank you so much, Anu and family, for hosting us in your home!!!

The house is beautiful, Very clean and has a garden. The breakfast is awsome and you can have a delicious dinner as well if you want. Anu is the best host you can find, always helpful and kind: he solved any question or issue we had.

Anu and his family were so kind. Nice atmosphere in the nature, good dinner and super breakfast. Cleaned and comfort room with AC. Super suggested.

Anu and his Family where the absolute best, we loved our stay with them and felt at home right away, when we arrived there. Anu will do everything to make your stay memorable, he'll organize things to see (also off the beaten track), help you to go places or just talk with you about Sri Lanka, the People and their Religion. And of course, not to forget, the food was unbelievable!! It for sure was one of the best stay we have ever been and if we were ever to come back to Sigiriya, we will for sure go back to Anu and his Family - Thank you again!

Anu is such a funny and kind host. He is there for you every time and will help you to have the best time in Sigiriya. We can highly recommend to sleep at Anu’s homestay, you will have the best time! Really clean room, looks even better in real.

Beautiful place with lovely staff and a great room.

Anu and his wife are very humane....they carry every piece of work with much humility The breakfast is such a feast and very varying. Anu does not count...he is genuinely kindhearted. The room and amenities were the best we had in Sri Lanka. Anu made our experience in Sri Lanka a unique one. Even after leaving...he kept on checking on us.

There was more of everything here than I've come to expect in equivalent home stays: plentiful meals and a larger room and bathroom than usual. What lingers most, though, is the host's jolly and helpful demeanour. I was very grateful for the generous free ride to the site in the morning as well as the help moving on to my next destination.

Our stay at Anu's place was pure zen, Anu and his family made us feel at home straight away. Anu went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and any problems we had he sorted out for use including transfers to the airport and also took us for adventures in his tuktuk. I think more then anything he genuinely cared about showing us the best time in Sigiriya. The property is beautiful, rooms are big and clean. The breakfast was amazing also great food. I highly recommend staying here. The family are soo friendly and it was a big highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka.

Look no further.. stay with Anu!!! We had the most amazing time at Anu's homestay. Anu and his family are very warm and welcoming. Anu is a kind, generous and easy going person, and a wonderful host! He made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We never felt pressured to book any tours he just let us make decisions on what we wanted to do and he was very easy going. We paid Anu to take us to Polonnaruwa for the day. Polonnaruwa is massive and it can be a very tiring day so Anu knew to take us only to all the best areas of the ancient city, and he charged a very fair price! We also paid Anu to take us for sunrise to climb Pidurangala and a sunset hike, we also did a half day tour with Anu to Dambulla for the Cave Temple. On each tour he made sure we saw the best of Dambulla, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya had to offer. We especially loved that he was always looking for wildlife to spot, he would always stop so we could have photos and showed us local areas and view points. He was very caring and generous, he picked us up when we arrived for free, and also dropped & picked us up from restaurants for free. We also enjoyed some Sri Lankan coconut liquor with him one night! The room was very spacious, and extremely clean, it had everything you needed, bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was probably the most clean and modern one we have had in all of Sri Lanka. They provided free tea, kettle and water in the room. The bathroom also had towels and free soaps. The AC also worked very well. Make your you try his wife's cooking! Best food in all of Sri Lanka!! We had breakfast every morning and every day it was something different! We also had dinner there one night. We really appreciated Anu and his wife being able to accommodate our vegan diet too! We had the best time at Anu's homestay and we were sad to leave. We would definitely stay again, and you will not regret booking a stay here!!
