Kembang Kuning Cottages

The room is very basic, but quite fine for one night. The family has tried their best to be nice and friendly.

WiFi is so weak, that I had to go to another place to make a call and work. It could be cleaner. The common area is not comfortable. The breakfast area is dirty, we had chicken poop on the table which was not nice for appetite.

Without a doubt the best stay we experienced on our travels through Indonesia. Somewhat late writing this review, but that has only served to validate the feeling that this was a truly special stay. Thank you Vandini, Chris and family for an amazing few days. We had barely arrived than we were recommended a local Sasak stick fighting tournament between villages. We were scootered that same evening to the venue and were but two of only a handful of tourists in an otherwise large and enthusiastic local crowd. A memorable occasion. Our guided walk through the rice terraces, agricultural land and forest was another fantastic experience provided by this family. Thank you Makrib for the tour through such beautiful scenery and knowing where to find the black monkeys. The food here was delicious - we had plenty to compare it with on our journey. They do many things well here. But what really endures is the genuinely warm hospitality you are treated to. It radiates from the hosts in a way that the glow will be the memories you are sure to retain.
