The atmosphere and the people here is just AMAZING! They do everything they can to help you and make your staying better. I also did the cooking class with the mother of the owner, highly recommended! If you want to see the real local life, stay here. We were supposed to stay only 2 nights but we extended because we really liked the place.

My stay at the Kembang Kuning Cottages was a really lovely, very authentic experience. I couldn't have imagined better hosts than Vandini and her family. They were so friendly and helpful at all times and Vandini in particular made me feel at home right from the start. The breakfast was good and could be taken at any time of the day. The restaurant was also great, I had a few really good and relatively cheap dinners there. There are numerous tours that you can book directly on site to explore the beautiful surroundings. It is also possible to hire scooters.

Vandini is the best host, we ever had. She was very caring and kind. We really can recommend her coocking class.

The host is the best person in the world! You meet the other tenants at the table for dinner and it quickly feels like a family. It's kinda like a hostel, but better because you have your own room.

We had an amazing stay in Vandinis Familiy cottage. Everything was perfect. The room, food, activities were just amazing. We felt at home in this incredible family. We will come back for sure ! It is the best home stay that we have ever done ! We will keep this stay forever in our heart !

My stay at Kembang Kuning Cottages in Tetebatu was truly enchanting. From the moment I arrived, I was embraced by the warm hospitality of the lovely family who runs the homestay, making me feel right at home. The cottage I stayed in was rustic, yet charming, clean and comfortable. The room came with a private bathroom, providing all the essentials for a pleasant stay. There is not hot water, but that is not too uncommon in the countryside here. One of the most memorable aspects of my stay was the delicious homemade meals prepared by the family. Every dish was crafted with love and fresh local ingredients, offering an authentic taste of Lombok’s culinary heritage. The banana pancakes for breakfast were great and so were the spring rolls! Kembang Kuning Cottages offers incredible value for the price. The rates are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations and the exceptional service. It’s the ideal place for travelers who are looking to experience the genuine warmth and culture of Lombok without spending a fortune. The family also arranged several fantastic activities and I choose to make coconut oil and roast coffee. It was a fascinating and hands-on experience that allowed me to learn about local traditions and crafts. The family’s guidance and patience made it all the more enjoyable. If you are looking for an authentic experience in Lombok, I promise you won’t be disappointed staying here.

If you are looking for an authentic experience in Lombok, I promise you won’t be disappointed staying here. I do not have any “dislikes” about the homestay. Fellow travelers should however set the right expectations before going. This is a homestay in a Muslim, rural village. There will be prayer calls throughout the day/night, roosters/chickens running around the yard and no 5 star hotel facilities. If this will bother you, I suggest you find another accommodation.

The staff was very nice, they cared for us very kindly! The food was absolutely delicious! The rooms were simple but clean. It was a unique experience in the countryside, thank you!

Very special stay with my friends and partner. From check in we were really well received and the host is always pay attention to our needs. We were craving for village duck meal and they literally made it happen off the menu. Really amazed by this experience - we never expected that the host will do above and beyond for our request. We feel very welcome and part of the family even tho we stay only for one night weekend trip. Really recommended for people who are looking for authentic Lombok village experience.

Please note that this accommodation is located in the Muslim village, so you will hear the call to prayer at around 4 am. If you are a light sleeper, you will need to bring earplugs.

Vandini and her family are amazing, such beautiful people. Staying with them is a very nice experience. The place is humble and simple, clean and comfy. Vandini will help you with everything you need (tours, tips, suggestions, renting things, etc) also they make great food. 🥰
