Kembang Kuning Cottages

I had a truly wonderful stay at this Homestay! The family who runs the place were very kind and attentive, always making sure I felt welcome and cared for. They prepared delicious meals that were amazing :) I felt incredibly comfortable throughout my entire visit, and I would definitely come back again. However, I would like to note for first-time visitors to Indonesia that it’s good to be aware that insects and geckos may occasionally find their way into the rooms and due to the iron roof it can be very loud when it rains. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a authentic and inviting stay!

Rooms were basic

I arrived early in the morning and was welcomed very friendly with breakfast. Luckily I was able to get into my room also it wasn't the check in time. The room was simple without ac, only a fan. The bed was comfortable, the room big enough and the bathroom clean.

Would be nice with an ac but it worked out great with the fan 🙂

The room was basic but clean, what made this place so special was the family. They were so welcoming and friendly. I was given great advise about places to go and didn’t get a tour pushed on me once. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Nothing it was perfect!

Just be aware it’s very far from european standards, with no hot water, extremely basic rooms (some rooms don’t have sink) and occasionally animals inside the rooms (frogs, gekkons, spiders). It is very rural village, and if you are looking for „an experience”, this could be the place, but don’t expect to have lot of comfort here. For sure you will be also waken up by mosque at 5 am, as it is really loud. The family is lovely though and they organized a tour for us around the rice fields, which was great (from 10 am to 3pm).

If you dont want a luxury trip this is the best option of all lombok. The staff of the hotel is marvelous, people there is very kind and they offer you a lot of tours and options to discover the most traditional part of the island. 1000% recomended.

Staff were super friendly and welcoming! Everything was simple and made the experience feel great. Sony was a great guide that took us around the whole of Tetebatu. A perfect location to see everything!
